Can Stangs run in STX? I think so, but what does a maxed-out STX Mustang look like? My '90 GT vert has panhard bar, LCAs, alum d/s, cc plates, braces, SFCs, 4.10s, O/R H pipe, pullies, what has to go in order for me to run STX?
Thanks,
Thanks for the replies. I see water on the inside of my lens, I'm sure that's the problem. I'll pull the lens and see what can be done, (maybe I'll even polish the fog out of the lens as well :nonono: ) Thanks Stangnet! :nice:
'90 GT. I replaced my passenger side headlight and within 2 weeks it was out again. I bought another and when I pulled the broken one, I discovered the bulb glass was shattered. I went ahead and swapped it and the same thing happened. Three different bulbs bought from 3 different places all...
Nope.
Well actually. What did you do to your exhaust? Cat-back? O/R H-pipe? Did you reset your ecu?
What about a tune-up?
Did you gunk up your throttle body, et al, with too much oil in your K&N?
Just some thoughts. Good luck!
Here's a list of some NW racing over the next month. Surely, even you guys/gals on the west side can find one that's not too far away :)

You bet there is. try here or here . There are many good clubs on the west side, go check 'em out. I have a list of NW events, if you need one.
We offer numerous runs, long courses, (generally over 1 minute) and out here in the desert we are almost guaranteed not to get rained on...
Want to try autocross? Live anywhere near Pasco, WA?
We have a very nice autocross lot and are running a practice autocross session this Saturday, the 14th. PRACTICE. Run your car, test your mods, learn to performance drive, not just hit the GO pedal. If you have never tried this sport or...
My wife likes the way my '90 sounds with O/R H + Flowmaster 2 chambers. Loud and strong. She'd like the same sound in her '95, but we race her car in autocross and have to keep the stock cats.
I'm leaning towards one chamber flow masters or bullets. Any thoughts on how to recreate the same...
Original 40s and O/R hpipes on my 90. Sound is very loud, very nice!
I have to keep my cats on for autocross on my 95. Anyone heard about the Super 40s from Flowmaster? Looking for the same loud note if possible...
I've been searching for help with my AODE without any luck. Here's my problem: with the cruise on, driving 55-ish, the tranny will get a mind of it's own shifting from OD to 3rd sometimes even to 2nd then back to OD. :bang: This happens consistently and often. It's as if a sensor is telling...
These stock car parts are for left turners only, not autocrossers. Stay with MM, steeda or build a similar one. For the $350, it's probably well worth it!
UPDATE: Shortly after this thread started I jacked up the engine, (after taking everything off) Probably about 4-5 inches. Dropped the pan and had to remove the oil pump through a 3-4" gap between the block and the pan. Putting the pan gasket back on was a chore, actually the whole thing...
Three day autocross event in the Tri-Cities, WA this Memorial Day weekend. The Tri-Cities is centrally located: 3 hours from Portland, 2 hours from Spokane and 1.5 hours from Yakima.
Three different course designers all at the Tri-City Raceway. Check out SSSCC or PM me for details. The name...
Nope. If you have a strut tower brace, I'd pull that as well, but I didn't have to pull anything from the top of the engine. PS I always pull the negative side of the battery when I do any major work on my car...
Do a search using 'motor mounts', I've seen a long-winded write-up about the...
I just did this. Jack up car, put on stands, Support rear end if on a hoist to prevent car from flipping backward. Support engine with jack using 2X4 under front part of oil pan. Remove three bolts from each mount, remove h-pipe bolts from headers. Jack up motor watching for pinch points...
