Going through the gears (t5) video

Yea, I've only ever had my little 2 barrel 289. Can't wait for the rebuild. I don't know that the 5.0 stick is longer, but I would think so as they call the triax a short throw shifter. I'm 6 foot and have to stretch for 3rd and 5th also. Was thinking about adding a longer handle to it like...

Going through the gears (t5) video.........Post your vids too. I uploaded this for the glass pack thread, and then thought I would ask a question. If you have a manual and also a modern digicam, sit the cam on your pass. seat press record and shoot a short vid of your cars cruising or hammering...

    Well, it didn't sell

I/C is good insurance, I agree. Btw, how long did your buds 5.0 block last with the hp kit? 1993 means hyper pistons, not forged right? Dude, that's gonna be a bad car. Twin turbo 427:jaw: He stole my idea, I wanted to have deep dish black bullitts on a classic first:bang: :D I wonder how...

    Well, it didn't sell

You're right. It's too bad because the average car guy that's heard or seen turbo cars(online probably) hasn't researched anything but the word turbo kit. About the kit not selling, I still think that gas is hitting your demographic's pockets hard. You're looking at anywhere from 18 to mid...

    SO my mustang wounded me...

I can't believe that dentist man, he shoulda numbed you a lot more before the drill. I know you feel bad about clocking the hot chick, but I see it going down in my head and I have to laugh:D She was ok though, right?

    Well, it didn't sell

You guys complaining about lack of intercoolers should probably read up a bit more on turbos. They are not always necessary, believe it or not. Look at paul302's setup also. 10 second car with no i/c. Check out Corky Bell's book, I think it's called Maximum Boost.

    SO my mustang wounded me...

Hey man, I'll take it off your hands. $3000 for the whole deal, sound fair?:D Those are the worst man, those super clean cuts you really don't feel but they go in like an inch into the flesh. Reminds me of the super hot orthodontist's assistant that worked my braces every month in middle...

    Post of the year.

    Well, it didn't sell

I agree, the site would be a low cost plus and the mags should jump all over you. Maybe the gas crunch is hitting too hard, who knows. You could try having some video of it in action as the web will be your biggest client base at first. I'd love to hear that thing hooked up on a dyno under load.

    Whats a good T5 shifter?

Steeda triax here. Nice, crisp shifts. Also heard really good things about the mgw when it first came out.

    t5 conversion and "block-plate" question?

I bought mine on ebay for like 30 bucks new. Most people forget to mention it in their t5 swap advice. I have a 65 289, t5 block plate, stock 91 gt t5/bellhousing, modern driveline c/m, c4 auto trans mount, steeda triax, and a 28oz flywheel also from ebay. Went in so smoothly, I thought I did it...

    pulling rear axles?

You could try beating the backwards drum with a deadblow hammer somewhat lightly. I'd use a 2x4 to buffer the drum. Just trhowing out ideas.

    WTB Block plate

I bought mine from a vendor on ebay two years ago. He had lots in stock. Only about 35 bucks shipped. Worth a shot. Here's a tip, do a search in ebay motors AND ebay home. You'll cover all bases that way.

    Gearbox and Drive Shaft Removal

I installed my t5 with the help of a buddy and 4 jackstands and a couple of solid 12x12 blocks of wood:D It went in with the bellhousing on, but I did have it on my chest and basically had to benchpress it up, hold it and had my bud run the bolts up. Haven't had the pleasure of pulling it out...

Can't wait any longer. Gotta spill the beans

I say go for it if it makes economical sense. One thing I love about my pushrod is the snappy throttle response. Every 4.6 modular I've driven has the slowest rpm drop when you let off the gas after a nice rev. I'm thinking that has more to do with the computer than the engine though. I'd love...

Got a few little things done

Oh man I hated pulling that vent out. I pulled it when I converted to a 5 speed and it was easier working the pedal assembly in w/o it. I know your pain. That 1/2 tube of rtv should do the trick, good luck with the water test.

    OMG WTF HAPPEND HERE!!!!

You've never seen his car before I take it. It's been posted here many times before. One of those pro touring classic stangs. There are some probably better executed, but hey it's the man's car he has all rights to do what he wants.
