    from what I've been able to understand from a lot of research is that for 64.5 thru 68, TKO's require sheet metal work to accomodate (under stock motor mounting and pinion angles) any TKO unit -- just as noted above ... yes, one can fudge - sometimes successfully .... but only a T-5 fits without...

    nice job!! .... btw, Ford Muscle web magazine did a feature on this same project awhile back with excellent results .... the article also provided a parts list ... they used a 75 amp relay too .... btw, given the high current draw of the fan, the feed wire should be at least #8 AWG from battery...

    and look in some parts catalogs .... some sell reman calipers and you should be able to "see" the OEM 4 piston type .... several catologs are on-line and have decent pics .... the diff between 4-piston and single is very easy to note ....

    OK, thanks for the tips/leads!! .... was leaning towards stainless anyway .... will checkout SSBC ... always better when you can leverage experience .... already rebuilt the calipers using new SS "pucks" from SSBC, btw .... painted them "hooker lips red" too ....

    I'm still working through the restoration of the OEM front disk brake system and now that I'm over the booster rebuild matter (ain't broke; don't fix), I now need to deal with repairing the m/c - it's pitted enough that I think it needs to be resleeved .... found a Raybestos rebuild kit (MK549)...

    update on reman's ... well, turns out jester67 may have been onto something .... I called KARP's (carefull how one spells that) to get pricing .... $130 for complete booster rework with black paint .... add another $65 for powder coat .... but the chap there questioned the wisdom of fixing...

    thanks for the tip .... more research on this indicates that "finger tight" (or zero end play as per "Huey") is the way to go .... I don't know why one source of mine said to final torque to 10-15 ft-libs .... perhaps a typo that could have been disastrous .... whew!! -- glad I checked ....
