Those with Aftermarket Cam Covers on 99+ come in

It absolutely would solve the problem. Problem is that the one used on the stock valve cover is shaped differently as the PCV valve is in a slightly different spot . . . I haven't had the chance to talk to BBK yet - maybe tomorrow.

    31 Spline install problems...PLESE HELP!

If you checked axle lengths on your Mosers with respect to the stockers and the Mosers were 1/8" longer. . . you got the wrong axles. Hey, at least it's a relatively simple fix.

Those with Aftermarket Cam Covers on 99+ come in

I would disagree that they are junk. The covers are nicely made, the gaskets worked extremely well - never had the slightest leak on either of mine - they just need some baffling.

Those with Aftermarket Cam Covers on 99+ come in

Got the pass side cover off and the stock one back on this evening. They're a PITA to get the BBKs in or out - tighter than a nine year old nun . Now I'm waiting for the wife to come home so she can start the motor so I can do leak inspection, etc. More news later. Edit: OK, this solved...

Those with Aftermarket Cam Covers on 99+ come in

Ever since I put the BBK cam covers on mine, it's REALLY gone through the oil. I checked the oil last week (the dipsticks on these cars SUCK btw . . . ) and it appeared on the LOW side. So, I put a full quart in. This was after I put a half quart in about 1,000 mi ago. [Mobile 1 5w20 syn]...

    Belt installation on Procharger P1sc1?

I think the Pro Charger compressor mounts as does the Vortech - pulley facing the motor. Mine is a PITA as well to get on - I have to have it up on ramps, get under the car with a pry bar and pry the tensioner from the bottom in an effort to get enough slack to get the belt on the alternator...

    Welding Axle Tubes...

I called a few shops in my neck of the woods and they all gave quotes - this is a pretty common mod to our cars. I had my axle tubes and torque boxes (upper and lower) all done at the same time. It cost me $250 - well worth it IMO.

    Rented a Shelby GT-H!

This last weekend via the Hertz location at the Boston Logan airport. I was duly impressed. If my car came stock with this much go, I'd be deep in the 11s with my mods . . . only thing that sucks is that the traction control disable button has been . . . disabled. Regardless, a lil' brake...

    Oil Separator - Revisited

This reservoir fills up 1/3 of the way in 15 miles. I'm beginning to think that the BBK cam covers are to blame as they lack any kind of baffling . . . Where's SVTTECH when you need him?

    Oil Separator - Revisited

OK, Within the last 1,000 miles or so (blower has been on about 3k miles now), I've noticed a puff of smoke on start up on occasion. Sometimes it lasts for only a second, others it lasts for a few seconds. I narrowed the problem down to the PCV system - but I'm not sure if what I've found...

    TPS Sensor can't be removed!!!

Two suggestions: 1. Use a pair of good diagonal cutters. Come at the stuck screw head on (not perpindicular to it) and squeeze the cutters so that they bite right into the sides of the head at the center. While keeping the cutters pinched tightly, see if you can break the screw loose...

    3.90 gears???

too steep heh? 4.10s are the purr-fect gear for any centri set up as they let you get into the boost nice and quick. Of course, this is an issue with stock tires. I would concur that 4.10s are a little too steep with positive displacement blowers though . . .

I'd buy an aftermarket pivot ball, like one from McLeod. Sure beats having to drop the tranny to replace a broken OEM one, like I just got done doing . . .

    vt 1 install over weekend

Just because you were unable to get the BBK cam covers on, doesn't make them junk. The drivers' side will go on if you loosen the brake booster so that you can move it out of the way about an inch. I've had mine on for several months now, no leaks.
