    4.30 will be way to low a gear with the 4 banger tranny.i used 3.55s and 3.73s when i was using a 4 banger tranny and the car actually went faster with 3.55s.those trannys are tougher than most people think.i never exploded mine,i just replaced it with a t-5z but i actually liked the 4 cylinder...

    thanks thumper,i think i'll keep it now.i had almost thought about a f cam but wasn't sure.i didn't want an e cam because we tried it in a friends 95 gt and i wasn't very impressed with it but i think my b cam performed and sounded better.

    more than likely it's a 7.5.i don't think they put the 8.8 in turbo coupes until 87.they had 3.73s for a/t cars and 3.55s for manual cars.

    i know you can do it quicker than 12 hours.i was only quoting crovax saying it takes 11-13 hours.some people are just faster than others.i did mine in less than 6 hours and so did my brother.

    when i got mine from summit also it had the correct fittings and i never told them the type of car or asked for anything extra.

    Wierd Problem with new tires.

    definitly drop the air down to 30-32psi.at 38 psi only the middle if the tire is contacting the pavement.it'll just prematurly wear the centers of your tires out like that.too little air will wear the inside and outside edges out.
