Drivetrain Pictorial Guide To Odometer Gear Replacement

Not sure if you are running a 32 bit or 64 bit browser. That may have something to do with compatability issues, however, the latest firefox browser loads the pictures just fine. If you need to link directly to the photobucket directory where they are located, just follow the link in the...

Drivetrain Pictorial Guide To Odometer Gear Replacement

Yeah, I picked up that nickname when I was a lot younger, and it seems to have stuck. Lately I kinda have gone into maintenance mode vs. mod mode due to the economy. All routine stuff, nothing unique like a cluster removal. I've always liked the color of your car (seen ya post from time to...

Drivetrain Pictorial Guide To Odometer Gear Replacement

David, You might as well, as long as you are gonna have it apart. It does not appear that it will be that difficult at all. From what I can remember, I think the worm gear is located directly beneath that little silver drive motor. You sure can't see it in any of the pictures. Good Luck

    Alignment Issue (getting familiar with)

Just picked up the car at lunch. Nothing like new tires on a car. :nice: Noticed a difference in the handeling from just driving around town for a bit. I did do the whole backup and turning of the steering thing before I left the shop and no more pop noise. I can't wait to get it out on the...

She said there was minimal grease in them. She's not just a tire jockey, but a long time friend of the family, so trust is not an issue. After hearing what she had to say, it brought to mind that for the past few weeks when I back out of my drive way I would hear a "muted pop" when the wheels...

    Brake light and rotors

Driving in this morning, I waited until no traffic was visible, and proceeded to stand on the brakes hard enough like before and no brake light came on. Then I resumed speed and stood on the brakes even harder than before. Threw out a ABS control light, but no brake light. So I get the car to...

    Alignment Issue (getting familiar with)

This Just in... Brakes are good. :nice: Rotors are within spec and there is still 1/2" on the pads. Bad news is that my ball joints are shot. So, she can get it done today with Moogs (with grease fittings) for a lower price than new breaks, so there's a small silver lining. :( :)

    Alignment Issue (getting familiar with)

New shoes going on today. Getting all 4 done cause after closer inspection, the rears are down to the wear bar. The car is in the stall right now getting an alignment verification/adjustment. Gonna try out the BFGoodrich g-force sports. The shop owner (Kim) knows her stuff and it just...

 Is that why it looks like "flat spots" instead of a steady wear around the circumference of the tire?

Someone tried to break into my 00 GT - Had some questions!

In my opinion, the best thing you can do for auto theft is to carry great insurance with the smallest deductable possible. Anything that is smashed, bent, dent or stolen can be replaced. Sure it's a PITA, but it's one of the best options out there.

    Alignment Issue (getting familiar with)

I'm gonna see if I can get the car in this week. Need a break inspection as well, but that's another thread. At least it should not take that long to get it done. The 4-bolt caster camber plates should make it easier as well. :nice: On the bright side the tires are only $88 each. I...

    Brake light and rotors

I'm gonna see if I can get it in for an inspection this week. If I need only the pads, should I pick up a set of speed bleeders as well?

So how about putting the rears on the front and getting 2 new tires for the rear? Still have not done taxes and am not in the best of financial situations.
