    thats funny because i just put a c-clamp on my fronts tonight while putting my front end back together i decided to get new pads while i was at it and it went in just fine and it damage the pad at all. And yes you are right, i forgot the rear are screw in type.

    Did you disconnect the battery? Your computer should take care of your A/F for the most part, but will probably run a little rich with long tubes. I have similar mods as you and I ran a slow(MPH) 13.3 N/A. All I had was Longtubes, o/r H, magnapacks welded in, nitto 315's, gears, upper intake...

    If your piston is all the way out and the pads are together, take the outer pad off, and leave the one against the piston on, and use a C-clamp to push it back. Tightened it very slowly!put your pads back on and you should be fine.

    ...with nitrous. CHP's 5.1 with flat top pistons is a 12:1 and should handle a 250 shot very well. Why buy a lower compression motor?

    when getting a forged motor why not pay an extra couple hundred for .5L, and for 400-500 shots, you tell me where to buy a motor that will handle that that isn't over 5k assembled in a shortblock. And why not run high compression like 12:1

    if i'm not in high 9's low 10's after this much money i'm going to be pissed. Thats my question though, why dont i just buy a crate motor with like 500+ hp and throw a plate system on it and at the end of the day it will be pretty close money wise, but with a crate I'll need a tranny, etc.

    I got new ones from ford for $77 and pressed in my 3 inch studs today, but it still pisses me off that I need to buy new hubs because i cleaned the old ones with solvent. whatever happened to taking a bearing out and re-packing it.....God am I a winer!haha

    Yea so I take off my front hubs to press in 3 inch studs for my skinnies, and was going to get new pads while i was at it, and I clean the hub in my solvent tank at work, press the new studs in, and was going to go repack the bearings with grease and the mother f****rs are a solid sealed deal...

    :shrug: When i did my rear end with gears axles, and locker, i had a friend who is a ford mechanic help me and i do not remember where the c clips are? Where are they, i need to pull my axles for new studs
