    I noticed some more noise from the MGW as well. Luckily, the MGW is supposed to be quieter than most others.... Get some exhaust work done and you will barely hear it. I have Borlas Pro XS mufflers and a catted MRT H and I don't hear the tranny noise much.

    Also, I changed to Royal Purple because there are claims out there regarding more hp. I figured synthetic in the motor, in the transmission, and in rear when gears are put in might add up to a few ponies. Everything helps.

    I did my MGW and Royal Purple fluid the day after xmas. I only had 9K miles, but figured I'd change it out since I heard how easy it was filling through the shifter versus the fill hole. I got 4 quarts of royal purple synchromax on ebay for 38.xx shipped.

    Good exhaust setup, and gear is all you need in a 2v to take a 3v. 200+ lb. weight advantage helps even the field.

    New MGW Shifter

    I changed my fluid to Royal Purple and I was only at 9k miles yesterday when I changed the shifter. At 25k I would consider changing it. Doesn't add hardly anytime. Just need a run to the parts store.

    Although I haven't checked, Ford Racing wasn't making the 3.90. Also, the idea of lightened gears sound good for the same price as FRPP.

    Depending on the mileage on your tranny fluid, think about changing it. Adds about 15 minutes to the job. I just did my MGW yesterday and added Royal Purple. Easy to drain, then just fill it once you get the old one off. Also, be patient with getting the old one off once the bolts are out...

    Anyone install the 'AX' series of gears from Strange and have some feedback? I've had my eye on them for a while and they are now being offered by Summit. They were hard to find about 6 months ago for the Ford 8.8. They are lightened gears. I'm thinking of getting the 3.90. Thanks....

    I don't know about all of you, but I have a three year old that rides with me and another one on the way. OR pipe with flows was not going to work for me. At highway speeds, mine is only slightly louder than stock, which is perfect for me. But, when I get on it, everyone knows.....

    Forgot to add, Borla Pro-XS is rated quite well as far as good HP while not being obnoxiously loud. Do a search for catback performance article.
