Best Mail Order Tunes

Is Horsepower by Hermann mail order? I live in Maryland about a half hour south of Annapolis and have heard of him, but not much.
he mail order tuned my car and im down in texas, with some dyno runs and datalogging hes tweaked my tune to where the car drives better than it ever has and pulls harder than it ever has.
just as a note hes moving down to florida here soon.

i bought an SCT X-cal 2 tuner with 3 JMS tunes. loaded the performance tune (after running 2 tanks of premium through the fuel system and engine), and had bad knock @ 4500-5k the first time i got on it, and didnt really notice any pick-up. it was so bad, even my gf noticed it, and she doesnt know **** about engines.

not saying i didnt gain anything, or that it was the JMS's fault for the knocking (although it never happened prior to using their tune). just throwing my experience in the ring. up next will be a true dyno tune by DynoSpeed Racing in Memphis, and i'll let them tinker with my SCT handheld.

I got a tune from MD with an Xcal 1, it was a significant power increase, however I ping a little under load in low RPMs, mainly 5th.

It's just a little too agressive for the octane and quality of gas I can get around here though.

Well, Horsepower by Hermann was one of my options, but if he is leaving town I may decide against that. I believe there are a number of tuners in the DC metro area. Kaufman's in PA is a few hour drive. I've been thinking Modular Depot as my first choice though, I've seen tons of positive feedback. Would then do a dyno run after with A/F readouts. I just want someone trustworthy. I'm worried that if I go to one of these local places, they have several tuners on staff and you might get the luck of the draw or not. That is my concern. I don't have that same concern with Modular Depot.

Then RWTD as Dan_Soprano previously mentioned above is out. I defer to the SCT Xcal 2 owners for good recommendations.
RWTD has switched to SCT PRP/Xcal2 though he still supports his Diablosport customers.

I have purchased custom tuning from RWTD and have mixed feelings. The tunes are great but it takes him about 1-1.5 months to respond to questions and/or requests for new tunes.

MPH:D . Great customer service! I ordered my Xcal2 on Friday and it arrived the following Thursday with an awesome tune. The difference in my car without the tune is very noticeable. Now without trying I chirp the tires at times. If I'm rolling along at 20mph and stomp it the car will get sideways and it doesn't do that when detuned. That's the best description I can give since I haven't been to the dyno. So far the Xcal2 and x-pipe(when stock) have been the most satisfying mods I've done. Oh yeah, whoever you decide to go with they're gonna need your car's computer code from the decal on your passenger side door. It'll be three letters and a number(something like THY3, I think?). It'll save you some time if you have it ready for them.
