    Brake Hose Bracket Bolt Stripped?

Thanks, I will try the suggestions above. One more question though...there is not actually a nut on the end of this bolt is there? If there is, I don't know how to get to it, because the bolt just seems to screw right into the frame rail which must be tapped. Is there any possibility that the...

    Brake Hose Bracket Bolt Stripped?

I can remove one of them, so I will check the threads to see if there is any damage. On the other I can't get it out by just turning it, so I am not sure how else to get it out.

    Brake Hose Bracket Bolt Stripped?

I am having a problem with the bolts that hold on the front brake hose bracket to the frame. On one side the bolt will freely turn either way but will not get tighter when you turn right and will not come out when you turn left. On the other side the bolt will come out when turning to the left...

Sorry I tried to attach the picture but the file size is apparently too large. Any ideas how to shrink it?

    Are these wheels valuable??

Hi, These wheels were on the 65 GT350R clone that I purchased 8 years ago. I can't remember exactly what the previous owner said about them but it was something to the effect that they were valuable. They definitely have some years on them but I don't know how to determine if they are from an...

    Need Help Master Cylinder

Hi, I am installing the attached master cylinder in my 65 mustang. My car has front discs (not original) and rear drums, so I believe this is the correct master cylinder. I noticed that this master cylinder has two outlets. So my first question is to confirm that the outlet on the front...

    GT500 wheels and eibach springs

I am interested in installing the GT500 wheels with the eibach prokit on my 2005 GT. In particular, I would like to put the 285 40 18 tires on the rear with this combination. This is the same tire size that the GT500 uses. Does anyone have any experience with this combination or know if it...

    289 HI PO?

Did any of you read the article in the back of the Nov 2004 Mustang Monthly magazine titled "The Stealthy HI-PO That Got Away"? In the article they make the assumption that a C5AE-6015E engine block casting is a HI-PO. I don't think it's an assumption you can make. My reference guide tells me...

    Missing Data Plate

Does anyone know of way to obtain the information on the top part of the data plate such as the body, color, trim, date, DSO, Axle, trans. I only have the VIN number to my 65 and would like to find out the other information and have a new data plate made up. Thanks

    Flaming River Steering Box

I measured my steering shaft from the tip to the end of the steering box and it's approx. 42.5 inches. Why does Flaming River indicate their shaft is 45 inches? Will I have to drive from the back seat?

    Flaming River Steering Box

I noticed that Flaming River sells a 19:1 and 16:1 box. I already have the 16:1 pitman arm. Do you think the steering will be too quick if I were to replace the current OE box with a 16:1 box and use the Shelby 16:1 pitman arm? Thanks

    Machine shops in NC?

I need some recommendations for a machine shop in North Carolina to do the machine work on the 289 I am rebuilding. I prefer the Raleigh area, but I don't mind driving a distance either.

    orange painted block

Yes, I was referring to the 289 High Performance engine, when I said "289HP". In case you were wondering, I saw the reference to the orange paint in the book titled "How to rebuild you small block Ford" It's in chapter 3 I think, "Parts Identification and Interchange".

    orange painted block

289hp? I think I read that the 289HP was painted orange in that general area. A look at the main bearing caps can confirm this. If they are beefier than the normal 289, you have a 289 HP.
