How to modify for Road Racing

Unfortunately I'm still running the stock seats and belts. I know I'm killing myself in the corners just trying to stay in the seat but I haven't found a financially feasible cage/harness bar setup that meets my approval. I don't like the idea of doing just a roll bar, and a custom cage is $$$...

How to modify for Road Racing

I know I know... I should have done better. I really do think 2:15 is an ascertainable goal though. I stuck a pretty good line but just need to drive more smoothly like Carol Smith preaches. Smooth is fast. Interestingly enough I went with an Audi group comprised of some stoutly modified S4's...

How to modify for Road Racing

Like most things in life, Brake systems are just that. A system. It's important to treat them that way when you plan on modifying anything. So to answer your question, Yes the rotors and pads make an excellent combo and improved the stopping distance and even more importantly the feel of the...

How to modify for Road Racing

To whom it may concern Hi, my name is Sanctus and I am an addict. (All: Hi Sanctus...) Like all those who have posted before me. I have been bitten by the track bug. And this is how I have gone about it so far. Stage 1: The Essentials (manufacturers may vary) Exhaust, Intake and Tune Eibach...

    SoCal Track day at Buttonwillow?

Agreed. Speed Ventures is ontop of their game. Things like point by passing, excellent starters, flagspeople, and organization really add to the whole experience of a track day. I had a blast. I ran a PB time of 2:20. It was a little hot out there that day for my street tires and of course...

ball joint question, 2005 gt with 20" saleen wheels

I am about to do this same mod in conjunction with the Steeda Bumpsteer kit. Any advice? I have the Press Kit but not really sure how to use it. A link to a write up would be fantastic.

    Electricity problem

Just got off the phone with the Ford stealership. Apparently it was a blown 30m Fuse and a faulty PCM relay. Took them 5 hours to figure it out after I told them I thought it was a blown fuse... Apparently you don't have to be too quick with the mind to be a service tech.

    Battery Relocation ?

Anyone know if the starter cable can be attached to the positive terminal of the fuse box? It's upstream of the box itself coming straight off the battery so I would assume so. But what do I know!

    SoCal Track day at Buttonwillow?

I was thinking of doing the same thing actually. I don't know a better use of $160... Mr. Q. I'm curious, how do you like your HPP pads? I have the HPS on my car but I'm wondering if I should get a set of HPP's just for this weekend or if i'll be alright with the HPS's. You think they're worth...

    Battery Relocation ?

Yeah I sanded the trunk down to the metal before I grounded it. But that doesn't seem to be enough. From other sites I have heard you need a ground not only in the trunk but also one to the block. Anyone know if this is true? Seems pretty shaddy that a $120 battery relocation kit would leave...

    Battery Relocation ?

I got everything hooked but it still wont turn over. It's throwing the codes (2104, and 2111). I think it is due to insufficient ground but the grounding cable is like a foot long so it doesn't leave you with hardly any options. I drilled and taped a hole in the trunkbed but that isn't cutting...

    Battery Relocation ?

Okay so I got everything hooked up but I have one problem, the starter cable and new positive cable extension wont both fit on the original positive terminal's bolt (it's too short). I would replace it but it looks like it's riveted in. I tried connecting it to the positive terminal upstream...

    Battery Relocation ?

I've got the Summit relocation kit about half done but I'm not exactly sure what to do with the original negative (-) line in the engine bay. Do I try and ground it or leave it alone? Any ideas?

    K Member Conundrum

I just got the 7qt oil pan + windage tray from http://www.modularmustangracing.com and it's telling me I'm going to have to fiddle with the stock K Member to install it. Anyone have any experience with Oil pan installs? But while I'm at it I might as well fork over the dough and go with an...
