What size and brand of tires for an 18X10" wheel?

For a 10in wide wheel the ideal size is a 275/40. Some are probably gonna argue and say that they are running that size on a 9in wheel and while it's possible that is not a ideal fit for that wheel. A 275/40 is ideal for a 10in wide wheel. If you want a little wider tire you can always step...

    Replacing fan...need help ASAP!

It's been five or so years since I had to replace mine but if I remember correctly the fan is threaded on to the motor. There should be a place to put a nail or something to stop the motor from turning and the fan will thread off. I am fairly certian that is how I took mine apart but it has...

Got the car up and running again.

Well after finally having to call MPS and order a bracket and the cables from them I have the throttle body swap finished and the car up and running again. The throttle response is much improved and the idle is rock solid. The only thing is I cant figure out what to do with a air inlet pipe...

Finally got the car back together.

Well after delay's I finally got everything together with my 87-93 tb swap and got the car back running today. Not had the chance to drive it yet since I had to come into work, but hopefully everything will work like it is supposed to. And for those wondering where the hell I have been and why...

    Cops....

Guess it's time for some police input on this one. With me attitude is everything when I stop a car for something. When I stop a car I always have a reason to write a ticket for something but the drivers attitude usually always determines if they get a ticket or a warning (well in most...

How to install autometer water temp gauge AND keep stock one?

You can buy a replacement t-stat housing from advance auto and they have one that already has the port drilled and tapped for the sender. I had mine run like that when I had a stock intake. When I went with the edelbrock I put the sender in the extra port that was on the intake.

    Senior Firefighter Of The Year

Congrats on FF of the Year! As far as what you were talking about below, You get over that real fast when you fall through a porch that is close to 10ft off the ground. Trust me I did and my lower back reminds me of it almost daily. Going into a burning building is one of the most exciting and...

The infamous battery light came on last night...

I had the same problem with mine and even replaced the alternator which did not help. It turned out to be the plug that excites the alternartor and tells it to charge. I tested mine with a volt meter and the resistance was all screwed up so I replaced them. There is a three wire plug and then...

    What motor oil you running

Been running mobil 1 10W30 for six years now. Just to prove how good that stuff is when I took my motor out at 106K miles it was extremely clean and you could still see the cross hatch marks on the cylinder walls. That motor is still running in another car to this day with no rebuild and has...

How do i make it possible to know my fuel pressure from inside my car?

Well you have two choices. The first is what I have and it's not cheap. Get a autometer electric fuel pressure gauge to mount inside. The other is a little cheaper but not by much. That route is a autometer mechanical gauge that usually needs to be mounted on the outside of the car since you...

What cold air kit for 87-93 TB swap?

Thank GOD I am a City Cop! News Story Inside

Never in a million years did I ever think something like this would happen in my county and it's even in a area that I have had to patrol because the town I work for part time owns watershed property by this house. And to make things even more twisted my fiance's uncle is the manager of the...

Oh oh...oil pressure gauge dancing like a white man to reggae

Well there is not much to do to test the stock guage except to replace the sending unit. They are cheap and easy to replace. If that does not fix the problem then it's probably the pump or the screen. This might be a stupid question but is it full of oil?

O2 harness ripped out, where to find new one

You can usually get just the connector with a couple extra ft of wire on it and then splice it into the stock harness. I had the same thing happen to my car and had to splice a connector into it just on the other side. I got mine from a buddy in the parts dept at the local dealer. I think...

    Radar detector pics

That statement is very true. Just a little lesson on radar from a police officer for y'all. They all have a standby mode that keeps them from emitting a signal and the detector will not pick them up. I can see a car that i want to clock and switch from standby to transmit and then lock the...
