    Did your car previously have one or did you add the sway bar? I can't accurately say if my exhaust will be in the way or not yet since the car is not sitting with the weight on the springs as the instructions say. I just swapped out my leafs and still have to put on my new shocks and replace...

    Well finally some more progress on my pony!! Thanks to my mother/father in-law I now have a sawsall and cut out the front leaf spring bolts this morning and got my new leafs mounted up. Now I just need to get the shocks swapped out and finnish cleaning up the driveline and a few odds-n- ends and...

    HUh? that's weird then cause none of the plugs listed for a 68 302 were the same as the ones listed for the 70 351w heads. I had to take a plug from each head with me and trace the numbers on it as to which eng's it was made for to figure out what plug I had and to be safe I had a local eng...

    I wouldn't go solely of the date stamp on the heads cause someone could've swapped out the heads. When I bought my car I was told it had a 68 302 w/ original rebuilt c4, when doing a tune up to see if I could get it to run I discovered it had 70 351w heads when I was swapping plugs. :shrug:

    tweet66, Are you saying you used a cutoff wheel to take the heads off then used a sawsall to cut the bolt on both sides of the leaf spring? Then I assume you had to drive the piece of bolt shank out of the frame correct?
