Need some camshaft guru advice on power loss from supercharger to nitrous

A centrifugal S/C makes more boost with rpm. Thus, HP rises with rpm. Nitrous hits all at once at a lower rpm, and the Nitrous amount stays the same as rpm's rise, therefore, the HP will drop off with rpm because the amount of Nitrous per cyl gets less as rpm's rise. I see nothing wrong with the...

Looking for input on Motor choice

Just looked on Dart's website. A 8.2" deck sportsman block is $2,700 it has the 4 bolt mains on 2,3 and 4 main caps The Iron Eagle is $4,400 and has all 5 main caps with 4 bolts. When I bought mine just over 10 short years ago, it was $2,000 cheaper. Sheesh. The Iron Eagle is listed as a Gen 2...

New here, Ford master tech from Kansas

If E85 is readily available, then a 11 or 12:1 compression engine with serious camshafts, long tube headers and getting the stock intake extruded honed would be a must. Larger T-body, MAF, fuel injectors as well. And lets not forget the cylinder heads. A TFS head would fit the bill. If no E85...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

Your MAP reading at 5,100 rpm is 98kpa. This is at WOT? How is that possible? 100 kpa is 14.5 psi which equals atmospheric pressure, which would be a key on engine off reading from the MAP What is MAPdot? In Green.

You can keep the stock dash/cluster with the Holley stuff. You don't have to change it out at all.

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

You might be chasing your tail in this scenario. I can't get an accurate reading on the amount of time involved during this blip of the throttle, but given how many things have to happen to stabilize fuel pressure from a change in demand, it may not be something that can be "fixed". Vacuum...

Fox Is the fox market for average cars crashing in your area?

Yeah, up here in Maine, if you can find something over 15 years old that isn't rusted out expect to pay top dollar for it. That goes for pretty much everything. Trying to find a Foxbody, or even a SN95? Good luck. Pretty much resign yourself to going South and getting something.

SBF Head Flow Table - Work in Progress

Another difference I found on the heads I have and what was posted. I have a 2.100 Intake valve and a 1.570 exhaust valve. I wonder if the posted 220 head is an earlier production or what, as it is listed with the 2.08 intake and 1.60 exhaust. Maybe it is the 65cc head that gets the different...

SBF Head Flow Table - Work in Progress

On the AFR 220 head, from what I see on AFR website the .700 flow is 325 cfm on the Intake and 249 cfm on exhaust under their "Street Flow Chart" whatever that means. I use this cylinder head on my race engine, except it has the 58cc combustion chamber. My current cam has .715 lift on intake...
