Serious 4v N/A Horse power opinions?

With 4.10's that could put you into the 12's, depending on the cams... not really that weak IMO.

Whats my towing capacity range gonna be on my 03gt in theory

It will probably make it a month... you really would want to swap in some beefy springs out back to make sure it doesn't weigh the rear of the car down. However, just remember... once you get the load to 1400-1500 lbs, you're towing almost half the weight of the car. It will have a lot of say...

Whats my towing capacity range gonna be on my 03gt in theory

Not trying to be an ass, but sometimes you need to make sacrifices and there really is only one realistic option and that is to trade the stang for a truck Straight up. Find the most truck you can trade into without spending money. I would not consider towing that much in a stang and thinking...

are you attached to your mustang?

Get a gated shifter. You don't have to just put it in D.

are you attached to your mustang?

This being my 10th car... no I'm not attached to it at all. It's a fun car, but there is a metric ton of cars identical to mine... It can easily be replaced. I am probably going to drive it until I can afford an upgrade. Probably an '11+ GT Convertible. But if I finish up my degree, and I...

Damn... I put more than that many miles on mine in a year.

    1999-2004 charges year by year?

I don't know how far you want them to drop before they "hit the bottom"... you can get a high mile '99 for about $4k... in a few more years that will be $2k... and that's where cars like this bottom out in decent running condition.

    1999-2004 charges year by year?

I highly doubt it. 4th gen GT's are much closer to their bottom... the only thing that really affects their price at this point is mileage. Machs are still artificially inflated. Trying to look at a Mach as an investment is simply foolish.

    1999-2004 charges year by year?

Only drawback is paying another $3-$4k for that extra valve.

    1999-2004 charges year by year?

Cosmetically, 2001 Got a more agressive hood and a wing without a spoiler.

How much does a 60,000 mile tune up cost for a 2004 Mach 1?

It's probably a harmless emissions issue (going by the most common causes to throw an check engine light), but get the codes scanned soon as possible in case it is indicating something worse.

    Rear End leaking... oh fun!

Currently it's my DD, and I am a fan of some mileage on the highway. And, down the road... maybe 5 years if I still have the car, I hope to drop a blower on top or turbo it. So, 3.73's are what I've got my eyes on.

    Rear End leaking... oh fun!

So most of the things that you need to do when you do a gear upgrade are done when the pinion seal is replaced? In that case I would be right in thinking that I should just do the upgrade while they're in there... I know a decent speed shop out here, I'll have to feel it out with them and see...

    Rear End leaking... oh fun!

Just got the car inspected and they took me in there to look at the differential while it was on the lift... it's slowly leaking out of the back gasket and through the front seal. I probably don't have the time to take care of this myself, so I'm wondering what a reasonable labor and parts...

Rear end Rebuilt --> What a mess!

That's a bit steep, but pricing depends a little on the parts used... expensive tires, hardy axles... good gear set and an expert install could get up that high legitimately. If it was just wining I'd say let it break in a little, but with other noises you're hearing... I would be a little...

    anyone run penzoil platinum

Mobil 1 synthetic and a FRAM filter. 5W-20 in the winter, 10W30/40 depending on what kins of driving I plan in the summer. I Change it every 5-6k miles... oil looks like it came from a new engine between changes. No need to waste it with 3k changes when you're running synthetic. I drive...

does anybody know why my car is real sluggish on take off???

No problem, it gets far more vicious on the internet than that. :p Anyhow, good luck.

this makes no sense to me

That's where I would start, it's there for a reason. On the flip side, I don't think you really have a problem if it's in the middle of the guage. As wmburns said, the factory guage is not accurate, it's just there to tell you when there is a big problem.

does anybody know why my car is real sluggish on take off???

Well you said initially, 5-10 seconds. The car is set up to keep the RPM's between shifts, and as a result it will hold a high idle for a few seconds before dropping to the normal idle... I think 3 seconds or so is how long it's supposed to do this at a stop. If it is just maintaining the RPM...

does anybody know why my car is real sluggish on take off???

That's normal, they all do that from the factory.
