i will take a pic the next time i get under the car. as far as the installation is concerned. the friend i had install it is a professional and owns a shop. i was under the car even helping him out and it is lined up correctly. the manifold seal is tight (we used airtools). when i drove it...

options for fixing exhaust rattle on Xpipe?

this is driving me crazy now. my Pypes (mustangtuning) catted x is hittin on the drivers side part of my transmission crossmember. when i first installed it, it rattled constantly. since then i had a friend grind off part of the portion that was hitting on the pipe. it helped some, but it still...

97 GT PI HEAD SWAP DYNO SHEET INSIDE

i've heard from other sources that closing the gap on a swapped gt makes more power. they claimed they felt it. i'm gonna try it too on mine and see if i feel it.

99+ tranny crossmember on 96 GT

it started banging ever since the catted x pipe. it only clears by about 1/4" and i cant bend it down anymore (the clamp by the manifold wont let me). my friend mike already grinded part of it down some, but it still rattles when i get under load in low gears.

99+ tranny crossmember on 96 GT

will this work? my exhaust is banging on my crossmember. i noticed on an underside pic of JonJon's car that the crossmember on the newer GTs were much smaller, and not as wide as mine. could it be possible? this rattle is driving me crazy. thanks! :(

    PI

well, unbolting and rebolting the manifold isnt really that hard. the benefit of doing the intake first, like i did, was you get the 2nd sensor tapped already and you get the coolant line switched out before you get to the heads.

    Head Gaskets?!?!

nah, the bolts i used between the midpipe and catback dont have enough thread. i'll add some washers or something. anyway, you can reuse your cam sprockets from your car. :D speaking of manifolds. i noticed that the large opening on my 96 manifolds were about 3/4" larger than the opening...

    Head Gaskets?!?!

the thicker gasket's gonna lower your compression, but why? i'd just use the regular ford gaskets that came with the kit.

Flowmaster Delta 40 Series to loud for a daily driver?

the 40s are louder. i have them. they're only slightly louder than stock, but sound much better in my opinion. wish they were louder but i like how they sound.

    Mustang Tuning Catted X-Pipe

i installed mine a few days ago. unforunatly i had fitting problems. the drivers side tube was right on the transmission crossmember. i tried to bend the tubing (since it's a 2 piece on that side), but the damn bolt flange on the manifold prevented it from starting off it. so a friend of...

    air filter heat shields?

i tried that, it sucked. noticed a much more responsive throttle when i put the filter back right in front of the maf. the cai bend sucks and i'll never use it again. plus, the filter's too but to fully fit in the fenderwell anyway :rlaugh:

    Xpipe hitting on trans crossmember

here's a pic i actually just figured it out. since the pipe is a 2-piece (it bolts up on the drivers side after the cat). i can just twist the tubing between the manifold and the first flange (since they're both ball/flange joints) to get clearance. this SHOULD fix the problem. anyone...
