^ it looks like mud because the last couple of weeks ive poured water in there instead of coolant and its rusting... as i had to have a car to get to work and back. but thanks.
So.. i had a mysterious coolant leak which i could never track down until it got really bad... so i jacked the car up and this is what i found. There is a nice crack in the block; what im wondering is this an end all or can this be welded up or repaired? Its not drivable because when you fire...
man id woop that friends ass if i was you....:ban:. yea the car started smokin as i drove on the freeway around 80mph prob like 2500rpm. i slowed down thinking someone else in front of me was burning oil.. but alas, it was mikes car. From the beginning to end the car was probably driven a good 2...
oh and, most people that buy a z06, do so not only for straight line speed, but for refinement, handling, braking, etc. Not everyone is like us and only gives a shi t about getting from stop light to stoplight.
+1
i would also recheck the timing, are you shure the distributor is stabbed right? also, make sure the spout is actually IN, and not missing. make sure your fuel pressure is adequate as well, does the car have an AFPR?
i get some nitto 555r's.... the widest your gonna go on a pony wheel is 245... you can get away with 255s but it starts to look goofy at that point because of the bulge. this is 245/50/16s on my car:
i ran a 13.40 @ 101 w/ the STOCK heads, cam,& intake. you car should be a mid 12 car on a tire AT LEAST. Oh and i have 3.73s and i really couldnt see any more gear in my car.. im already shifting every 2 seconds lol
