    sorry to hear that.i didn't go into work today specifically because i didn't want to deal with idiots.the same thing happened to me a few years back,luckily i had a fire extinqusher in the car so i only had to splice all my wires where they grounded out.

    what's needed as far as motor mounts etc.? will the motor mounts bolt into the small block frame mounts? i read somewhere that the bolt pattern on the block was different on some fe motors...

    not sure but i believe napa might have them.i had never seen them before i installed my rear end but a friend that used to sell parts a long time ago knew what it was called.so i'm guessing that it wasn't specific to versailles...

    Mustang Steve clutch cable question.

    mine has the fox bellhousing.at first i used the z-bar with the aluminum block and the fitting for the side of the motor.you had to be like ARNOLD to push the clutch in,switched to modern driveline's kit and the clutch is 100% better(read...mere mortals can now hold the clutch in at redlights)...lol

    Driveline angle.

    you don't have to cut the transmission tunnel to install a t-5.i'm not sure of the driveline angle but i seem to remember 3 to 5 degrees from horizontal where the carb bolts down.

    i've seen "agreed","stated",and"declared" value used in this thread.can anyone decipher this insurancese? my car is a secondary usage,limited usage(they've never looked at the odometer)car.they asked "how much is it worth?"...i said...maybe 14,000...99 dollars every six months.

    Power steering cylinder attachment threads?

    que,thats what the "crush" nuts did on my car.they were in there but not right.eventually had the bracket welded on.my guess is that the crushnuts aren't from the original manufacturer or the frame just deteriorates over the years to a point that the nut can't bite into it.

    they have the shelby trunk lid and end caps,tailights and side scoops.it was basically california dealers capitalizing on shelby's ,i think. i also remember reading somewhere that the wiring harness for the tail lights was cal. special specific,with it's on part number.

    i have the modern driveline cable and it is a great improvement over the z-bar set-up. the pressure required to push the clutch in was reduced by half or more.i did have to change my tri-y headers though(nikel plated from tony branda). running shorties now and wish that i would have modifyed...

    loup cable length isn't really the problem.the cable from my kit might be from a fox body (plastic quadrant) retrofit. the problem comes from where the cable has to go thru the bell housing. 347 jba makes great shorties!...think they are about 5oo though you may be able to modify your...

    i had tri-y's before i went with the cable set up.if the cable was run as straight as possible to the bell housing ,it would have had to pass thru about half of one of the header tubes.in other words if i had smashed the tube half way in the cable would have cleared.i don't know the brand...
