    I have a 96 gt for almost 2 years now and still love to drive it. never had any issues with it, runs very strong and it's stock. My airbag light stays on all the time but that don't bother me. Consider one of the slowest stangs out there but but when i floor it it pushes me back into my seat :nice:

    I agree. i read that the only problem is you would have to use premium gas after the swap due to the high compression. Also make sure you thighten your plugs so they don't shoot out and strip the thread. I was saving up for the swap too but had to cancel due to $$$ problems. Sold most of my PI...

    shut off my car and now will not start

    this happened to me once and i disconected my battery for about 30 min and she fired right up. why? i don't know. 5 months later and no problems since.

    I noticed something about using different fuels, do you notice the same?

    I tryed 87 and my 96 gt stock and it runs crappy you hear knocks on the engine when i floor it. 89 runs ok depending where i got the gas but 93 ALWAYS runs good on my stock GT.

    YES!!!! My 96 gt is mostly stock but in my opinion it looks better than the 99's and when i get some extra $$$$ i will add some bolt on mods and enjoy the Power and looks!

    Hey I had a jeep with a lift kit and had super swampers on it 35's LOVED THAT RIDE but, it has nothing on my 96 gt. The power alltho it's non PI at the moment is awsome when you floor it! If you can afford it get a 99+ gt more HP but i still love my 96 gt body style. good luck!

    gas smell With A/C

    well today no smell and my car runs great!. I checked the fuel lines and nothing, I think when the car battery went dead and she jumped the battery the computer must of gotten confused or something making it run rich,and when i reset the computer and gave it a day to adjust it fixed itself!
