The sig pic people got me...

So what are the rules on sig pictures for size limits? I'm sure its mentioned somewhere but i'm a newb so cut me some slack. ;)

    Used tuner?

I guess its not so much the price that i'd be concerned with but rather that the programming has been removed from the previous car first. Most of the hand held programmers will only work on 1 car until the program is removed otherwise its just a paper weight for the next guy. Make sure it has...

Me thinks that the 3.27 would be alright with a 3200 stall converter. Hopefully I updated my sig. Edit. Yes. Sig was a success. Now what shall I play with next?

Hey 007. Are you happy with the performance of the shift kit? What washer setting did you go with?

Nuttin wrong with shifting an auto. ;) /jk So at what point do you want to build up the auto tranny to avoid disaster? I'm assuming you can do all the basic bolt-ons w/converter and be safe but I guess I want to hear it from someone else first.

Have you driven a car with that high a stall before? I know some people that drive a 4200 stall on the street but i'd be weary of driving anything higher than a 3000 for everyday driving unless I had some good $$$ thrown into internals.

I had a buddy help me out with the install on the 99Z. Dropping the tranny was quite a task as some of the bolts were very hard to get to. We also did a shift kit at the same time but that was a complete disaster.

I'm bad with explaining so I cut/paste this from another website. ] The torque converter converts hydraulic pressure within an automatic transmission to mechanical torque, which drives the drive shafts and, ultimately, the wheels of your car. In design, the torque converter is similar to a...

You call yourself a Mustang Enthusiast?

I must admit that I wasn't familiar with what the SN95 term meant so this thread is not a total failure.

Stall converter is just another name for torque converter.

Thanks for the help everyone. The car would be a 99 - 04 GT so I guess 3.27 it is. I had a PI converter in my otherr car and loved it so i'm thinking a 3000 stall would suffice. Couldn't be that loose with a 4.10 mated to it.

OK I have read quite a bit in the past few days. I don't think my eyes can handle much more. ;) I still can't find a whole lot of info on stall converters though. There were a few write ups on them here and there but if someone could point me in the right direction, i'd be one happy camper...

What gears do the autos come standard with? 273? I would think that the 4.10 would be a bit too much gear in an auto.

Just saying Hi since I just registered. A little about myself. I drive a Mazda6 so i'm sorta a Ford guy but i'm currently saving up for a Mustang GT and have some questions. I have owned an LT1 Z28 and LS1 Z28 (I know :nono: ) in the past and did some modding to the LS1 but i'm totally in the...
