    Here's the situation i'm wondering about. If i took my car to the ford dealer and had them put a helicoil in my #6 port, would they remove the head to do it, or would they do it with the head still on the block.

    MAF voltage HP increase

    MAF voltage can be anywhere from .2v to 1.5v at idle. Voltage does increase with RPMs.

    are you talking about the OBDII port? If so, it's on the driver's side, under the dash, mounted on the side of the middle console thing. It's shaped like a trapezoid and is about 1 1/2 inches in length

    MAF problem

    update - I replaced the MAF with one from work (Autozone). It seemed to lean it out a bit and the idle is smoother. Feels a little choked when decellerating...i'll look into it some more on my next day off... but thanks carl.

    I've been running pig rich for a while now and I think i found the prob. I tested my MAF according to my haynes manual which says... "At idle, MAF should read between .02v and 1.5v and should raise to 2.0v at 60mph." So i tested it at idle and it holds a steady .01v...raise it to about 4000...
