    Fox Rusted out strut towers

Thanks to all of you for the input. After I posted this thread, I came back and looked and the pictures and asked myself "If I had a 5.0 in the garage, could I recommend this car to someone?" That answer was a big negative. It's like y'all said, if there is rust there, where else is there rust...

    Fox Rusted out strut towers

I've been out of the Mustang game for 12 years, which has been too long by about 12 years. I came across an 89 LX 5.0 5spd fastback for $5,500. The story is that it was a father/son project that fell by the wayside and has been sitting for many years. I stopped by for another look and was able...

To sell or not?...looking for perspective.

Well said. I've sold 3 Mustangs over the years and while it was hard to see them go, it was the right choice at the right time for each of them. The hardest would have been selling my 93 Cobra. I loved that car but family circumstances came to a point where it had to go. A decade later I still...

    93 gt or cobra

The most accurate way to tell if it's a true Cobra or not is the 8th character in the VIN. If it's not a D then it's not a Cobra. Quoted from VIN/Door Tag information "all 1993 Mustang Cobra's will begin with this sequence shown above in the VIN (1FACP42D)"

1993 Cobra cranks but No start

It's Alive!!! Just wanted to thank jrichker for his checklist and help :hail2: . Noid light confirmed injectors weren't firing (with a good 12 volts at the wires) which lead me to the pip sensor in the distributor. Slapped in a new dizzy and life is good again.

1993 Cobra cranks but No start

Thanks for the clarification. Ok, now that makes sense. The original list said "If 12 volts is present in the Run position, then the fuse or fuse link is blown." which is what confused me (not a hard feat to do). I've got 12 volts at both the ignition switch and at the coil when it's in the...

1993 Cobra cranks but No start

Ok, I've followed the crank and no start check list and I'm down to # 1(G) I've got 12volts on the red/green at the ignition switch in the run position which is bad according to the list. I've check the 20 gauge fuse link under the starter solenoid and it's a dead short and now I'm looking...

    Fox body cobras

You are correct :nice: . Here's the paint codes and a little info from 1993Cobra.com ------------------------------ There were only 3 exterior color options available for the 93 Cobra. They include Black, Red and Teal. There is technical information to support a non clear coated version of...

maaco a bad choice as usual?

Link to article: Go to http://www.foureyedpride.com/ Look on the left hand side of the screen for "Tech Articles" & Click on it. Look at the last article on the page titled "79-84 Mustang/Capri Bodyside Molding Restoration" I would provide a direct link, but I'm sure their website...

Chevy guy looking to get into a GT...need your help

Here's a quick thought. Since you are going to put it out front of your house, Why don't you post an asking price on your post in the Vette forum? I know that you are looking for a trade, but if you could get what you paid for it (or close to it) back, then you'd be in a better position to find...

Chevy guy looking to get into a GT...need your help

I understand exactly what you mean about buying a modified car. It's a crap shoot in what you are going to get. I prefer to buy my cars bone stock so that I know that I have a clean "platform" to do any modifications. Now in regards to Jamie's potential trade, it's hard to say what he's...

Chevy guy looking to get into a GT...need your help

That would be ideal, but unfortunately this is the wrong time of year to try to sell a Corvette. Depending on where you live, the late fall/winter months are the time when people are storing their Corvettes for the winter. In general most of the prospective buyers will be thinking the same thing...

Chevy guy looking to get into a GT...need your help

Good luck with the trade. I would have to agree with mob though, ditch the tint and wheels but everything else looks ok. I know a little of the history of the Vette that you are trading and I know it's a really nice car (I frequent the other forum myself under the same screen name).

    My head swap thread!

Apopka isn't bad (in most parts), but I tend to spend my of my time between Altamonte, Casselberry. I have to drive by Blacks once at least week just to drool over his inventory (that's where I got both of my cars).

    My head swap thread!

I'm over on the Orange/Seminole line. You know where Wekiva & Foxwood are? Near there back behind the RaceTrak gas station off SR-436. We now return you to your orginal topic already in progress..... :D

    My head swap thread!

Translation on: :D It is nice to see that you have finished the head swap. Maybe you could get some pictures for us or quite possibly a couple of video clips. One clip being from inside your car and the other could be taken from a friend's car that is comparable in speed to yours...
