    Timing Cover - HELP!!!

My mechanic just called to tell me that I need a new timing cover as he has found a crack in mine. It is a 65 FB w/ 289 and aluminum water pump. Anyone know wher I can get one quick??? I called John's and Mustang Depot and a local Mustang salvage yard, no luck.

    Mustangs at the Queen Mary

C'mon GP...I never make it to the LBC man. I head south when I go out! I didn't figure it to be too far though. Anyways, I'll probably take the hog, as the FB is in the shop getting heads, cam and rack & pinion installed. It's still about a week out.

    which heads....

My 65 FB is in the shop as we speak getting a set of AFR 165's put on. I called all over the place because I didn't want to wait 4+ weeks to get them. Finally found a set at All Mustang Performance in Phoenix. If you want a set now, give them a call. They were priced the same as everyone...

    C-4 Rebuild

What should one expect to pay for a C-4 complete rebuild? Aamco quoted me $1000-$1200. Does this sound reasonable? I might add that is with a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.

I know the rad. comes out. I was wonedering if theres enough room to get the cam out without removing the condensor?

My stang got nailed yesterday (pics of wreck), have some Q's

Dude, my condolances! First off I'm glad to hear you came out OK. I hate to see side impacts, especially in a 40 year old car. When you get it to the shop I wouldn't accept anything other than original tooling panels, and like ronstang said, go to a 5 star shop. Your adjuster will be able to...

    Cam Swap & A/C ?

Next week I am getting my Comp Xtreme Energy cam and AFR 165's installed. Mt question is, since the car has a/c, will the condensor need to come out with the radiator? I'm certain the comprsseor is coming off, not too sure about the condensor though? Thanks.

Well...I kicked down for the TCP R&P!

After going back & forth about what I wanted to do with my car for the last year, I finally have a game plan...Daily Driver/Sudo Resto Mod, no cutting, gluing, etc. With that being said I kicked down this week for my first real upgrade, TCP Rack & Pinion. I went the whole nine, got the KRC...

    17X8 Torq Thrust II

Of those running the 17X8 Torq Thrust II's, are you/did you have any problems getting them to fit? Do they rub when you turn? I'm going to Stailess Steel front brakes, and the 13" rotor requires a 17" wheel, so I don't want to put the cart before the horse if these wheels don't fit well. Thanks.

    Forged or Cast Crank

When considering the crank option for a 331 stroker, what would justify the forged crank over a cast crank? What are you gaining with the forged crank for the price. Pistons and conn. rods I get, but a cast crank that is stress relieved and shot peened is pretty robust ehh? Anyways, input is...

    67 Rad. in 65

I'm looking to cool a 331 stroker. Be Cool doesn't seem to make a 65-66 specific. Just a 67 on up. So, if it's not to much hassle, I wanted to just go with their 67 kit in my 65 FB. Good question, does a 67 rad. cool better than a 65-66. I have a 4 core in it right now, but want the...

    67 Rad. in 65

I'm pretty certain a few of you have put a 67-68 radiator in a 65. How much fabrication is required? Does it require a lot of cutting to fit it? I ask because I'm looking at a Be Cool kit, but they only make the kit starting with 1967. If I can make it work with out a ton of headache, I'd...
