Just how safe can you feasibly get a first generation Mustang to be?

who are you trying to convince? You or him? You are not going to change his mind, obviously, he doesn't "get" it. The single best safety device is the DRIVER..... air bags don't help if you tumble into the ditch because you are texting. ABS doesn't keep you from sliding off the road because...

    66 strut rods

I am rebuilding the front end on my 66, and everything was so crusted with gunk that I didn't see the mark on the top of the strut rod where it bolts to the LCA. it looks like a spear or arrow..does the "arrow" mark go on the top of the strut rod or the bottom? there is a difference in the angle...

    A/C questions

This pic is before I mocked up the A/C under the dash...amazing what $50.00 and some elbow grease willl do! The other pic is from probably 1990 or so...when I was driving the wheels off it in Seattle. AAAAGH it won't let me upload the other pic, I will try again later It says it is missing a...

    A/C questions

The fan, drain hose, and condenser.....other than that, I think I am OK. I mocked it up under the dash, and it all seems to be there. I even have the shield that goes on the Passenger side to hide the drain hose.

    A/C questions

Aha....my mistake! I will check it out, thanks. I went to a local show today, and looked at a couple of cars with factory systems, that helped a bunch. Tim

    A/C questions

I guess I wasn't clear, sorry. This is a factory system, not an aftermarket system, in pieces in boxes, not installed in a car. I have no idea if I have all the right parts, how the hoses are routed, etc. I think I have the under dash part of it mostly figured out, but I am not sure. I was...

    A/C questions

Hello all, I have been absent for a while (since I left TCP) but I am back with a couple of questions... I am reassembling a '66 Convert that has been in the family since the late 1980's. We have a factory A/C system for it that has been in a box for about as long as we have had the car. I did...

The Wilwood Superlite Brake Kit Thread

Then I realized that Wilwood's front kit pushes the wheel out, say, another 1/4" than my Baer kit. Perfect. Should take care of that UCA rub. According to Wilwood, that is not true with the 13" WW kit, only the 11-3/4" kit. Not to burst your bubble, but I wouldn't want you to get the wrong...

    Tcp g-bar install and pics

Yes, they are "fished" in. They are used to hold the brackets in place while you square up the system in the car. Once everything is in place, you stitch weld around the bracket, the bolts are not the only thing holding the brackets in place. This is the only welding required on the car. Tim

    staggered shock pics?

Our g-bar does not fit staggered shock cars, and I wanted to clearly illustrate that point to the phone room guys, none of which are familiar with the layout. None of us want to tell a customer "nope, won't fit. No idea why, it just won't fit" so I am trying to get a picture so we can all...

need help from those in the know...

I am not 100% sure what you are asking about, are you talking about the extension that bolts to the front of the fender? If so, the 67-8 are one style, the 69 is a one-year-only deal as is the 70. The 69 extensions will bolt on to a 70 and vice versa, but they look completely different. The 70...
