A/C questions

Hello all, I have been absent for a while (since I left TCP) but I am back with a couple of questions...
I am reassembling a '66 Convert that has been in the family since the late 1980's. We have a factory A/C system for it that has been in a box for about as long as we have had the car. I did not take it out/apart, so I do not know if it is complete, what I need to do, what it looks like all together, etc. Where is there a good resource for pics, parts lists, etc? From my first attempt at mocking it up, it appears to be missing one bracket, but that is it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
I will post pics of the car as soon as I can, it is coming along very nicely. 289, auto, power top, 8-Track convertible. Sauterne Gold with Parchment interior. Very cool car.

check out vintage air's website. they sell the systems and should have anything you need to get yours ready to add refrigerant.

I guess I wasn't clear, sorry. This is a factory system, not an aftermarket system, in pieces in boxes, not installed in a car. I have no idea if I have all the right parts, how the hoses are routed, etc. I think I have the under dash part of it mostly figured out, but I am not sure. I was hoping someone had a link to a how-to article or a A/ system restoration article, something like that. Are there manuals specific to A/C? Where could I find drawings, etc?

My 73 shop manual does a fair job of detailing the A/C (though I always want more pictures), so I assume the 66 manual does the same.

the vintage air concours systems ARE factory systems. the systems were built to exact factory specs right down to the compressor. there may be minor detail changes, like emblems, the look of a switch knob, etc.

Aha....my mistake! I will check it out, thanks. I went to a local show today, and looked at a couple of cars with factory systems, that helped a bunch.

This is an original 65 Mustang system, except the original 65-66 AC fans were 5 or 7 blade, not 6. The 66 under dash unit had a black face, not silver. See anything you don't have?

The fan, drain hose, and condenser.....other than that, I think I am OK. I mocked it up under the dash, and it all seems to be there. I even have the shield that goes on the Passenger side to hide the drain hose.

The other pic is from probably 1990 or so...when I was driving the wheels off it in Seattle.

Nice choice of radio, looks familiar. I have the AC, too.
