Just the E-cam idle or a problem?

my car idles fine at 700-750rpm but it's manual, so there is going to be a difference. It's lumpy, but a good lumpy. i have my timing at 16* with the gt-40x-e cam crate motor, which was suggested(16-20*) by a ford racing tech.

Those with GT40 setup or similar N/A, what is your fuel pressure & timing?

ford told me with gt-40x heads, 9:1 compression, e-303 and typhoon intake, to run 16-20*, so i run 16 with 93 octane runs great, and i don't know about you guys but i can still pull 24+ mpg on the highway

    The Horrible Mustang Lean....

I have this problem, didn't think of LCA's being the prob, but i'm going to do a battery relocation which should help, other than that i'm thinking of just waiting till after college and then removing and installing better structural reinforcements(cage and subframes instead of frpp subframe...

    Fog Light Bar

no, listen, first off, you don't really need the bar, it just supports the brackets and the bottom of the bumper a little... second the bar is mounted to the fog light brackets and between the scoop and lower lip (boltong to the lip) of the front bumper. The brackets mount to the bumper...

    clutch cable melted

ok, so i was driving and the car seemed harder to shift, i got home and it stalled in gear. I looked at it, and where it 'passes' the header, it was rubbing, melting it and while it still pulls, it flexes, and therefore doesn't disengage the clutch completely. I am obviously going to get a new...

    Car sits at an angle

possibly not, how do you clock them, the front are good, right in the grooves, but what about the rear also, i have sub frame connectors and have had them for years

    Car sits at an angle

My car sits at an angle, I just did the suspension(shocks, struts, springs), hoping this would fix it, but while it may have at first, it is crooked again. What I am saying is that my pass side sits 1/2 in higher than the drivers side all the time. I have heard that it is a bent sway bar, but...

    cooler brakes the cheap way

well this is great, while i had no knowlege of it, I thought of something people charge for. A couple of my "friends" gave me **** about this idea, I'm glad it works and people do it.

    cooler brakes the cheap way

yea, that was why i was thinking of ducting or vents on the hole, but i have a hot air intake, so i'm good

    cooler brakes the cheap way

thus far, it is only in development, but the idea is pretty simple. I have the fog loghts, brackets and brace removed from my 90 gt (should work on an lx too). The idea is to use that fog light hole and the air going through and under it for brake cooling. The idea is to just cut the wheel...

installing lowering spirngs - how difficult?

i did the fromt with a friend, we didn't need a spring compressor, just a jack. but we are smart enough to do this safely.

    do i have gears!

the jump is probably old grease or dirt in the speedo. but yea those methods work for finding the gear ratios, also a blazer and probe are slow compared to a stock 5.0, so i don't think that that matters.

    Leaking intake manifold

that may work or some silicone, but that may just be a temp solution, if you've got no money to do more it should work decently well.

hey who can tell me what this is?

It's a connector for some vac lines, if you broke one, pull it out of the soft rubber, go to a parts store, get some line and replace. It is NOT electrical.

    Who has a D&D T56 kit in your 5.0??

having the same gearing i have now with a .54 6th gear on top of it all would be great, I will do this eventually, but i was saying that i dont think i'd want five gears in the 1/4.

Is there a way to tighten the E-brake?

well, i just replaced the brakes, adjusted the adjuster on the bottom of the brake assembly, and did this procedure: 1. pull e-brake up 3 clicks 2. put in reverse 3. back up and hit the brakes 4. e- brake down 5. drive forward 6. test e-brake, if not good, repeat.
