    If you think it is the wheels/tires and haven't had them checked on a Hunter 9700 then I would advise that you do. It is a road force balancing system that can best match tire and wheel for smooth operation.

    10 GT 5spd mixed driving average on first 3000 miles is 18.4 per computer. Tank to tank mostly city has been around 16 and full highway cruise 24-25. Not the best but not bad for a V8.

    Thanks for the replies. I like your plan CliffyDeuce and will give that a try. I did find out that the sill plates do just pull straight up to remove if needed. Did you run the wire on the drivers or passenger side of the car?

    Thats normal for a solid rear axle car. No need for a cover on the rear as there is no exposed wheel bearing like the front if there was no cover.

    10GT mileage WI fall/winter weather 3.73 gears no mods with 1900 total miles using regular gas computer shows 18.1 on mixed driving. Took a 260 mile trip filling before and after driving 70 to 75 mph most of the time and averaged 25.3.

    Thanks for the reply. I should also mention that it was on real tight. The metal band wrench I use was slipping and started to crush the filter. I then used a metal filter socket which I would recommend.

    I was surprised when I took off the service cover to replace the oil filter and there wasn't a Motorcraft oil filter. It had no brand label and was white and had a socket type end, not like the Motorcraft filter I replaced it with. Anyone else see what came on their car?

    I just got back from the dealer and picked up the part. It is a locking gas filler neck plug. Fits perfect. It is part # 8U5Z-9C268-B. I ran that part number on a google search and I could have got it $10 less but by the time you pay shipping and /or handling ???
