    Tremec TKO using stock shifter???

    I just bought an older Tremec TKO 3550. It has the stock shifter that looks to have stops? (see pic) Does the TKO 3550 have internal stops too? Is there a benefit to upgrading the stock shifter?

    The link above is not working. So I can reuse the speedo gear? Can I use the same tooth gear as I had? Another words is the output speedo gear on the output shaft the same number of teeth on both transmissions?

    Replacing rear axle c-clips/cross pin?

    The cross shaft is very hard and usually never shows wear. I have NEVER seen a cross shaft that has been indented from an axle shaft. Sometimes the clips will show minimal wear (slight). But usually not enough to cause play. As others have stated this is normal.
