Replacing heater core. HELP!!

Hi All,
I am in the process of replacing the heater core on my 1991 lx notch. I removed the ac lines from in side the firewall. My question is I am putting the lines back together and I noticed the upper ac line (suction line with the large nut) that arttaches to the evaporator does not have an oring. I looked to see if it fell off but I could not find anything. Is there supposed to be an oring on this line?? See pic.
Thanks in advance

I believe there should be an O-ring in the connection.

From the Ford Mustang Service Manual (Suction Accumulator/Drier - Installation):

1. Postition the suction accumulator/drier to the vehicle and route the suction hose to the compressor.

2. Using a new O-ring lubricated with clean refrigerant oil, connect the accumulator/drier inlet tube to the evaporator core outlet. Tighten the connection to 21 - 26 ft-lbs using a backup wrench to prevent component damage.

Etc. ...
