    Performance vs weather?

I would bottom out, on the stock S & S sometimes, so I upgraded to tokico 5 way s&s. Check the bump stop above the axle (in the center area), they should be present and in good condition.

    Performance vs weather?

Also, enjoy the mustang!!! They are pretty decent sports cars. I know several engineers who have porsches and BMWs and my modded mustang is comparable. The beauty of mustangs is the availibility of aftermarket parts. Add some suspension mods and a poweradder and the mustang is really fun!

    Performance vs weather?

There is a difference between hot and cold air temp. For the most part it is: 10 deg F per 1 HP. So the HP output of the mustang will vary with temp. I don't think it is that bad but it is noticable.

    Why did Ford go returnless?

Yes I was aware of that strategy (was trying not to bore anyone). It is a reall nifty thing that ford thought of. It really damps the effect of FP variations on individual cylinder fuel delivery. BUT in my case with wet nitrous, the fuel pressure control loop variations causes more or less...

    Why did Ford go returnless?

http://www.kennebell.net/techinfo/general-info/jimbells-supercharged-perf-guide.pdf Read the article on the right hand side, that should explain the decision to go returnless.

    Why did Ford go returnless?

The system does not loose pressure at 3500 rpms. The returnless fuel system is really pretty neat. It also has it's drawbacks. You really have to know what you are doing to mess with it. Pull out your controls system engineering book and read about closed loop control. Returnless...

At what rpm does a Cobra become a Cobra

I think the intake thing is only for 96-01 cobras the 03-04 SCd cobra is different.

At what rpm does a Cobra become a Cobra

It has something to do with the intake runners going from long to shorter at a certain rpm, I thought??? My friends 01 cobra (wife's car) really comes alive at approx 4000 rpms. I always figured that was when the intake runner thing happened. It is neat, the cobra almost feels like you...

At Home Tuning - What to watch for?

Or you could just put the $100 tword a WB o2 meter. Just $250 more ond you can have an Innovative LM-1 or $350 more for a Dynojet WBC. It all depends on wether you want to do your own tuning or not? Plus it will be usefull for a long time, assuming you continue to mod your vehicle. At some...

At Home Tuning - What to watch for?

Yup :nice: Except the factory o2 sensors can only read from 14.6-14.8 a/f ratio. Ideal (theoretical) combustion would result in a 14.6xx a/f ratio. That is what the vehicle computer tries to maintain while just driving around. It is only at wot that the computer adds more fuel (13.5 a/f...

    J-MOD + TRANSGO SHIFT KIT??

    One or the other.
  15. Y

    NOS ?

True... But when you hear people talk about frying spark plugs and destroying motors they have violated several key rules of power adder usage. For example: -Running lean -To much timing advance -Detonation/pre-ignition (see the previous two examples) There are other things that can...

    4R70W build-up

99+ 4R70Ws are pretty stout. Most people install a big (B&M) trans cooler after the radiator cooler. If youare worried about wearing out your friction material the J-Mod shift kit should help. Also change your trans fluid often (10-15K miles) if you have a lead foot. Check Out TCCOA

Got my car Dynoed today... Graphs, Kinda scary A/F

The FPSS engages and disengages based off of fuel pressure. I had to lower my FPSS set point to 32psi (give or take a pound or two) to keep from dropping the solenoids out. What is going on here is when the fuel solenoid opens extra fuel is required to supply the N2O system. The fuel pressure...

Got my car Dynoed today... Graphs, Kinda scary A/F

FYI You know your fuel pressure is dropping (oscillating) because the FPSS is cutign in and out. I had to set my FPSS @ 30-32psi to keep it from opening up at the beginning of a N2o run.

Got my car Dynoed today... Graphs, Kinda scary A/F

This is pretty standard with a wet nitrous system... What kind of system do you have? Most people will give you the standard response of " dude you need a larger pump" and back it up with no information. Most of the time they don't even have a power adder... I refuse to take BS advice...
