    2001 cobra coolant crossover delete

So, a Y block from each port on head to the upper hose then a block off to bypass. Did you drill out t stat or anything to bypass? How is the water pump handling having now where to send water when t stat is closed? (Or am I over thinking this?)

    2001 cobra coolant crossover delete

I'm having a hard time visualizing the setup. Both front ports are flowing or just one side is flowing? Got a pic of what you did?

2003 Mustang GT - Rear Tire Size Question

The front sits on eibach sportlines with NO rubber isolators - to get it lower. Tires are factory height (25.7) on front. Roughly a 2.5 drop all around on it. Rear of my mach is on sportlines in this pic but uses a Lower control arm with adjustable spring perches. Worth noting I drag my...

2003 Mustang GT - Rear Tire Size Question

Depends on how rough your roads are and how much attention you pay. If careful and not trying to off road 2 inch is perfectly fine and will make it look a ton better. Depending on miles you may look at ball joints and other wear items as lowering will speed up failure on prior worn parts...

2003 Mustang GT - Rear Tire Size Question

100% lower it. Springs of your choosing (at least a 1.5 drop IMHO) and some good caster camber plates- Maximum motorsports 4 bolt - buy once cry once. If you want a tad lower and don't mind a slight creak once in a while, lower without isolators to get another 3/8-1/2 inch. I wonder if it has...

2003 Mustang GT - Rear Tire Size Question

Lowering springs vs coil overs. HUGE debate there. Lowering springs are cheap and the avg joe can install fairly easily with a jack and some basic hand tools. Coil overs go a bit further with needing specific shocks/struts and similar hand tools etc. I am an Eibach Sportline fan - I like...

2003 Mustang GT - Rear Tire Size Question

315/35 17 should be what you are looking for. 25.7 height which is right at factory and same as those 275/40. HOWEVER - if you want a taller tire to actually fill out a non lowered wheel well you'll have to measure etc and find the appropriate sidewall height etc. Usually lowering a car is...

    2004 mustang 4.6 timing cover

It could be. I've not had a timing cover off in a few years (10 lol) but don't recall seeing one machined like that. If it isn't cracked or brittle I'd run it and not think twice about it.

    2000 GT: Interior color change?

Man, I see your struggle - something always feels good about a clean charcoal interior. But I do love a clean tan/saddle interior as well. Feels classy to me.

    2004 mustang 4.6 timing cover

A few possible things happened to it. Worn thrust bearing causing excessive crankshaft movement. Balancer wasn't seated all the way or was going bad. Wrong trigger wheel spacer or lack therof. Or maybe something I'm not thinking of as well.

identifying smog/fuel part on 1998 GT

Looks like thats a lovely 98 only part and not in repro. Find one from a junk yard car. 1998 has a standalone tank and odd ball voltage regulated return style fuel setup. Reading (with AI help) you can modify a 2 port one to vent tank properly, but it'll potentially make the tank itself a pita...

I would take a stab and guess failing Idle air controller motor. Unplug it and see if sound goes away.

    CHANGING BRAKE PADS

Righty tighty, lefty loosy for both sides. turn right on both sides to screw in. If it's turning but not screwing in, then it needs replaced.

    CHANGING BRAKE PADS

Rear calipers screw in; fronts push. At the age of these, not uncommon to have a seized caliper. rebuild or replace with reman ones. Had to do that same on all 4 corners of my mach last year and it only has 104k. Just sits so they were not functioning and very sticky. If you feel it went...

    Removing NX NOS kit?

Pull kit and any associated parts/wiring. Plug up the intake tube for the nozzle. Remove line, plug any holes made for line and bottle brackets etc. Remove fuel fitting and lines for kit if a wet kit. Check for leaks etc after. Pretty straight forward.

Mach 1 iac valve in a 4.6 gt

Having just gone through IAC issues, I would recommend replacing with a motorcraft (can source a few places) 03/04 mach iac only. My car had all kinds of odd little things from a slowly dying stock one. Replaced with new motorcraft and tons of issues/annoyances are solved.

    Strange steering/brake issue

Trash in the lines of power steering/power boost can cause some issues. I loathe opening up the system. If all items are functioning properly, I would look to a purge of all lines etc. If doing that, I'd say put a rack in it so you only have to open/bleed it once.

Progress Thread The Mach Returns - Update/build thread

Some updates here. Hidden raptor shift light (behind center ac vent) installed and auto dimming with a functioning PWM and 5 pin relay controlling ground cycles. Doesn't blind me to death at night. Total pita to wire up abut awesome now that it works. Rear suspension got sorted again. We...
