Touching up painted Cobra R rims

I bought some Ford argent spray paint to touch up some peeling paint on my rims, but it occurs to me that adhesion to the sanded-down aluminum would be better with some sort of spray can primer underneath the argent----anyone got some experienc/advice for me?

yep, another help me with a cam choice question

I have the Y heads (ported) and I use the "Baby " Crower 15510 cam. Plus exhaust & all the bolt-ons. Gobs of torque (300+), but modest HP gain. I wanted a smooth idle w/stock computer and no chip, and I got that---idles near stock. The Y heads were cheap, but I should've gotten Edelbrocks or...

    Brake Lights Sticking

Since changing out the booster, the brake lights occasionally hang up. If I notice it, I joustle the fulcrum of the brake pedal, & it goes out. Is there an adjustment or has the switch croaked? Is it an easy replacement?

    PCV Valve?

Excellent Advice---do this. Also, you might want to add an oil trap for extra insurance. Steeda sells 'em or you can make your own.

Need urgent help finding a body piece

Back to the rocker moulding---don't worry about matching sides, No one can see both sides at the same time & the only one who'll know they don't match is you (and the readers of this post---who'll soon forget & return to debating the sound quality of 2-chamber flowmasters or other esoterica.

can I get 300-325 fwhp without a cam swap?

If you do a cam, count on computer problems and be sure to save some more cash for a chip. If you go w/1.7 lifters & no cam, you'll be OK w/heads & intake alone.

    Super-Rich Starting; But No Codes

Combo is GT-40 aluminum heads (ported) w/1.6 roller rockers, GT-40 intake (ported), 70mm BBK TB, Baby Crower Cam (15510) I did keep the stock MA meter---the C&L didn't work right. I do have an adjustable fuel pressure meter---it's set at stock pressure---maybe turning it down is worth a try...

    slight rattling under the car

I had a similar problem--turned out to be the heat shield on the aftermarket Bassani catalytic converter. The way we found it was to put it up on a lift & gently tap the likely undercarriage areas w/a rubber mallet. A simple tack weld or two fixed it up.

    Super-Rich Starting; But No Codes

The stalling seems to have (mostly) abated. Perhaps the computer is learning the new set-up? But the rich start continues. I fear I will have to get a dyno tune & chip. I'd hoped to avoid the additionaql cost, but.....?
