What is your DreamDaily driveable STOCK block setup

Well since you said stock block and daily driveable then I am not going with all that huge inch big cam bs. I am going to go with a Mexican block, with a lifter valley girdle, and a DSS main girdle, ARP studs and bolts throughout, DSS forged 331 rotating assembly with pro lite pistons balanced...

    Weird Gear ratio's

Out of all those mods in your sig I dont see a clutch. So is it possible that you are still running a stock clutch in the car? I see the centerforce flywheel but what type of clutch is it? Cause the first thing that comes to my mind when you say that you are running that much rpm is your...

    255/45 17 or 255/40 17???

Agreed that is the size that came on the 94-95 cobra's and it looks fine. I run a bridgestone 255/45ZR17 on my car and it looks and rides great.

Well, Autolite 25's won't fit (WTF)

The stock E7TE head uses the Autolite 25's or one colder in the 24's. The GT40 head that is on the cobra uses the autolite 765 or one colder in the 764.

Help with sway bar end links...

Try to use something like a punch and a hammer and drive the end of it up through the washer. If that will not work then you need a grinder or cut off wheel and cut that thing loose at the bottom and take it out. That is going to be your only two options.

Paul Here is your TECH/ Debate thread.

Well I have had both and currently started with the pro-m and bought it when they first came out with the one for the 94-95 cars. At the time I was running a stock bottom end bolt on's with nitrous and 30# injectors with a stock computer tune. In this config the C&L worked great. Now when I...

    Installing sway bar end links...

It can be done without jacking the car up. All I done was turn the wheel so it is all the way to the outside of the side that I was working on and changed the end links out and then done the same for the other side. It took about 10min per side to do them and that was it.

    Hello everybody..........

Well the long rod 306 is doing just fine. But to tell the truth if I had to do it all over again I think I would just go with a 331. I have not been to the track with it lately but I did play with a guy around here that has a 331 and I was able to pull on him by a fender so the car is making...

    Here is the deal

Well to make that kind of power with a blower you are going to need a stronger block. I would suggest the R302 block but you are talking big money there. To your next question I would look at a set of AFR 185's at the minimum and poss a set of 205's. The limiter to your power is probably...

    Hello everybody..........

Well my car is not a vert but I do have a lot of experience with 1/8th mile tracks. With a track that size good low end torque is what you need to get a car as heavy as yours up and going. Traction is also key to going fast. And believe me going fast is directly related to the size of your...

    New Clutch fork?

You will have to take the exhaust down, remove the driveshaft, take out the trans, disconnect the clutch cable, then remove the bellhousing to replace the fork. As far as finding one you might check junkyards and see what they have. Why exactly are you replacing yours?

Felt Good At The Gas Pump!

Damn I need to find some kind of econo car to drive around. The mustang gets about 20mpg and the silverado gets about 18mpg with the 5.3L and with gas prices staying around 2.15gal around here that gets expensive. The only good side is a gas station in town has increased their octane ratings...

Hacked BBK orH install + vids

I had the same problem with mine and had to do the same thing to get it to work. But it looks like you have the one pipe turned upside down. The BBK plate on mine is is right side up on my car and I noticed yours in inverted and the one pipe does not look right either.

    Pushrod Length Checker

You will need to measure it from tip to tip, or at least that is how I had to measure my crane cams length checker and that worked. I also used a good set of dial calipers to make sure that the measurement was as exact as possible.

    Aftermarket intake to hood clearance?

The intake will clear the hood but there is a possibility that it will rub the hood liner. Mine did and all I done was take the liner out from under it and then it was fine. Well that was with a edelbrock which is basically the same thing. My brother had the same problem and he has the typhoon...

How can I tell if I have Anti-Lock brakes?

Like the other post said you can look on the pass side and there is a aluminum box that is the abs control module and it should have about four brake lines coming into the top of it. The other way is to watch for a abs light to lite up when you start the car is should come on for a few seconds...
