    sounds like a fault in the alternator or regulator. I had one rebuilt and it was missing a bolt inside which was a main grounding bolt. worked fine off and on but then totally crapped out one day. the local parts place should be able to test the alternator.

    check for a header leak. my car does the same thing, and each time I find a loose header bolt. I've finally replaced them all with locking bolts and the problem is gone. hope this helps. by the way it could be a million things, ignition, fuel....

    its just strange how my heavier mini-vans (nissan quest, caravan) can stop so much easier than the mustang. Those brakes are easy to push on, but the mustang I find myself practically standing on the pedal to get it to stop quickly.

    its strange that just with a punch of gas the temp rises that quickly. How about the temperature sending unit - maybe its faulty? There is a way of checking the sending unit. I ended up replacing mine a couple years ago - I don't think they are too expensive, about $20. Its worth a shot.

    my car's oil pressure seems to drop when the engine gets warm. It usually dips pretty low at idle and then bumps back up when I give it gas. I've replace the sender. the car has over 300,000kms. How low can your oil pressure drop and still be safe?
