    Tremec 3650 TSB results

Thanks for all your replies. I posted the same question on some other forums and I have gone through about a hundred results. About forty percent of the answers said that the problem was either not corrected or was corrected for a short time and returned. Of the other 60 percent I can't say they...

    Is my thermostat stuck open

Stock 02/Gt N.J.December weather and the guage does not move for a good ten minutes and the car does not fully warm up for about 10 miles or twenty minutes. Could this be normal? How long does it take for your car to warm up?

Lucas Octane Boost - Cold weather "pinging"

It is not so much that the KB tune adds timing. It is more that their tune does not change the stock program that does this . I believe it is because they can't lock timing and still have the safety of it getting pulled when it is hot. KB will pull some timing in your chip if you send it back. I...

    Tremec 3650 TSB results

Mine is exactly like you describe. I warm the car in neutral for five minutes and granny first to second a few times and no grind. But if I take off normal the first few minutes it will grind. So my choice is to do this "adaptive shifting", if you will, in the winter and live with it (which is...

    Tremec 3650 TSB results

Good description. Mine is fine when warm. I think I will wait as I have 2 more years and 30,000 miles left on my extended warranty from Ford. Quess I can go to the track next summer and not worry too much about the trans!:D

    Tremec 3650 TSB results

It seems like a percentage of people who have had the TSB done see the problem return. Mine tranny is fine when the car is warmed up for 5 minutes. It is just that first shift from first to second that needs to be babied or else it will crunch. If I take it easy the first few shifts I have no...

    Tremec 3650 TSB results

I am interested in hearing from those who have had the TSB done to their Tremec 3650. I have a 02/GT with 18 K on the odometer. This is the first winter in the North East that I have had the car. I bought it last April from the local dealer with 15,900 miles on it. I have an extended warranty...

    MGW Shifter Install

update: I called MGW and was told by George that the inner most boot is not needed but can be used to reduce noise if you want so long as you remove the grommet from the "picture frame" boot so they don't bunch up on the shaft and also not to pull it all the way down the shaft like on the stock...

    MGW Shifter Install

I just finished putting an MGW in my 02 Gt. I have a guestion for MGW owners. My car had two inner rubber shift boots. One was on the stock shifter and the other was the one surrounded by the "picture frame" that they refer to in the instructions. The instructions only refered to putting the...

    02/GT head light removal

I pulled the two "bayonett" type slider clips and unpluged the bulb but the assembly would not pull free from the body. Am I missing another fastener which must be removed or should I pull harder?

    engine block casting number

my 02/Gt has " F1" stamped on the front of the block near the mating surface for the water pump. I thought the latter blocks had a different number. Is this the right number?

    02/GT PCV valve removal

Yes the base is squared off!.Do you put wrench on it and "lefty lucy". I swear mine feels like it will need about 50 ft/lbs of torque to break loose. I tried but stoped because I did not wat to snap it.
