    Trying to figure out gearing...

Thanks for the link, it really helps. I estimated it with my car and it came out to 3.55, which is stock. We did his car and it looks like the previous owner has 4.10s in that bitch. No wonder it is a freak.

need advise on buying a GT

I was wondering the same thing, since I have around 130k on my 99 GT 5 speed. I was going to save up for a blower (after my boat motor is finished next month), but was wondering if I should plan on swapping the motor first.

    Trying to figure out gearing...

My friend has a 93 LX 5.0 with a Tremec TKO 3550. He bought a set of 3.73 gears, but was wondering if the car already has gears. It spins about 2,750-2,800 rpm at around 75mph. This seemed a bit high to me, which is why I questioned it and told him it might already have gears. The motor is...

    Coolant sensor issues.

So you have heard of this before? I might just buy a new tank, but hate to do it. I watch the gauge all the time, but like the dummy light to give me a heads up, before it starts heating up, cause it can happen quick.

    Coolant sensor issues.

It is at the bottom under the coolant. When I flushed the system I used a power nozzle to really spray the crap out and spent about 15 minutes moving it up and down, cleaning the bucket and making sure it was free, this worked for about a month? and then back to the same old thing. :(

    Coolant sensor issues.

So my coolant light has been coming on for the last 6-8 months. I originally thought it might be because of my radiator leaking, which I since replaced. Then I posted on here and someone mentioned it might not have a 50/50 mix of water and coolant. So, after the radiator change I got a dead on...

No throttle, the pedal is down.

Correct, I am not the original owner. Thanks a ton for that info, I thought it was rigged like that to fix something that had broke. That is unbelievable how much slop is in the pedal from the factory, wow. Right now I have zip ties, but I am going to get a spacer to make it a little more "pro"...

No throttle, the pedal is down.

bump. Anyone know what goes on the cable (under the dash against the firewall) to take the slack out? I do not have a FSM. Thanks.

No throttle, the pedal is down.

So I get close to home and notice my pedal is very close to the floor. There is also a wire tie lying on the rug below. I got home and looked under and there is a rubber hose and zip ties around the cable. There is a piece just past the cable where it goes through the pedal, to take up the...

What products can I use to detail my engine?

This is off topic, but I would like to know what size or number Optima you got to fit in there?

I have the 12" or 14" stockish looking one from American Muscle. I love it, it is just below the roof line and looks perfect.

Opinions on Good Digital Cameras for Pics of the Mustang of course!

I have an older Kodak DX6490 (I think). Back then it was hard to find a compromise between zoom and megapixel. I paid around $500 it is 10x OPTICAL zoom and 4 megapixel. I was SHOCKED to see what their new cameras are. $400 for the P880 and it is an 8 megapixel, you cannot go wrong for the...

    WOW great news

Congrats. My advice to you is buy a good camcorder and digital camera right now. Make sure you take LOTS and LOTS of pics, everyday. They grow up VERY fast. My Son just turned 8, seems like yesterday he was just a baby.

Dumping money, what would YOU do?

Thanks, you have been a big help and kept me occupied tonight. :) I was actually checking out the VT blocks and they seem like a great deal. Especially considering the amount of money I just dropped on a BBF. Do you know of a good site or thread in regards to weight reduction? I am VERY...

Dumping money, what would YOU do?

Thanks again for the info. My engine has 130k on it right now, that is another reason I was considering getting the Cobra. I totally forgot about how heavy they are though. I used to really be in to this car stuff, but these damn boats have made me fall out of the picture and I feel like a...

Dumping money, what would YOU do?

Thanks for the post. You know how us guys get to thinking... I was thinking maybe a Cobra was the easy route, but then of course I am coming out of pocket again and my GT is paid for. I am just sick of going all out on projects, only to upgrade and lose my tail end because they weren't...

Dumping money, what would YOU do?

That is a good question. :) I started thinking today, how damn fast these new cars are. Thinking of a 300C SRT8 BOAT of a car being able to stomp me out had me upset. Also, the new EVO's and STI's. My ultimate goal is to keep it mostly streetable, but in the mid 12s would be nice. And of...
