    they do look like 1LE calipers now that you say that..... i did get the bracket and bolts. But no i didnt get the rotors cuz they were f'd up.. they look like around 12" or so but i didnt measure they were deff bigger than stock... i have the p/n in my first post if that helps.. vette stuff did...

    i agree with the 5.0vivct motor is awesome period and will eat most everything up and thats not the argument im making at all.... 5.0ViVCT < LS1/2/3 definitely... oh and as for GM small dis motors back in the day when trans am racing was happening the z28 w/ DZ302 motors ate up trans am...

    i dont see how you can say a 10 bolt would pop by 30 feet.. granted its not a very strong rear, but there are guys who push single leg 10bolts that are 20+ years old with over 500hp and its fine..... 8" hoosiers on my stock 10bolt did fine. and you deff can mod a SBF to get over on a stock ls1...

    very true... but if youd put hoosier 8inch slicks on a stock f body 98-02, it will run deep 11's.... so yea a 400hp stang is equal to a stock ls1/2.... my point exactly!..

    btw the ls1 is a motor produced since like 1997... the new 5.0 w/412hp is a brand new engine.... and just to upgrade to the boss 302 package costs more than what i bought my camaro for.. lol i mean, engine specs and hp numbers are only part of the equation... chassis, weight, gearing, tires...

    said might in the first place because i own both... my stang isnt near 400hp but my ls1 99z28 with stock ls6 heads/intake/tb and street suspension/tires eats up 400hp STREET stangs all day... now if you put track slicks/weight reduction on that same 400hp stang of course youll beat a stock...

    Timing retard=engine running hot/high NOx?

    you can have you timing advanced up to 12* in cali and still pass if your engine is healthy..... stock is 10* and cali smog allows =/- 2 degrees... so 8* to 12* will still pass smog.. if your running premium gas at less than 12* your just letting the rest of the unburned fuel pass thru the tail...

    yeah with the car running i noticed that the level dropped after running a while with the cap off. i dont really notice any water really flowing with the cap off in the radiator but the top hose gets hot but the top of the rad and cap never get hot to the touch... clogged rad?
