    Problem solved. Only took about 45 minutes to put in a new smog pump. Now to wait for the next problem to come along. Usually takes about 3 or 4 weeks for something else to happen. :shrug:

    +1 for the bad ground. We were changing the water pump in my buddys mustang a few years ago. After everything was back in place, there were no leaks, but the guages went ape **** when you turned the headlights on. It took us a while to find the culprit, but sure enough it was a bad ground.

    Use a Dremel to cut the pin in half. You will go through several cut off wheels, but the fun part is trying to guess when they are going to shatter. Do one hinge at a time.
