    I didn't read the link, but yes... Ford did develop an IRS in the early 60s for the Mustang. There was a recent documentary on the History Channel surrounding Ford history and Lee Iacocca. They had a brief segment on the IRS.

    I sent a request for quote to Flex-a-Form. George returned a quote for $400 delivered. Considering Mustang Plus sells their sets for ~$200 (depending on style) plus some serious shipping charges, the price of the mono-leaf doesn't seem half bad considering the huge weight savings.

    Way more than I can afford. Your point is well taken. I've heard that car has over $100k into it. It definitely takes serious $$$ to play at the top of the vintage racing circuit. However, it doesn't take nearly as much money to have just as much fun.

    Looking for a fuel cell and jmc dual master cylinder

    Also check out Delta Bay Mustang for the fuel cell. They have custom drop in tanks as well as pans and frames that use off-the-shelf fuel cells. Their prices were the lowest I found about a year ago.

    The Ford bible states 3/4 turn after 0 lash. Make sure you are adjusting in the correct sequence to your camshaft. If you have a flat tappet, it is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 if it is a roller or 351W cam, it is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Also, you should not let the poly lock rotate when tightening the set...

    I'm doing the same thing. I picked mine up at a half price sale for $10. This was also the day I found $200 under the sheepskin covers of an 87 Supra. I got the seats, serpentine setup off a Lincoln, and the fan off of a Sable and pocketed $140! LOL
