    diablosport mafia maf

It will all depend on how much power you are going to make and how much air your motor can use. The MAFia can be a very useful piece of hardware in the right hands.

Tubular k-member on a street car

LOL, dude if you crash hard enough to FUBAR your tubular k-member you are screwed anyway.....there are no two ways about it. Any they do test their k-members. They test the tubing for it's compressive and tensile strengths, and they also sonic check the welds, at least most of them do...

    what to do....

Keep the 3.73's. Traction will be horrible with the 4.10's and a blower.

The UPS man is my hero!

Kooks headers come standard as uncoated stainless and don't need to be coated for longevity purposes, but the optional Jet Hot coating offered by Kooks definitely helps to keep underhood temps down. Like Gearbanger mentioned, the coating also helps keep the exhaust gas velocity high by radiating...

    High-Torque Starter

The Cobra starter is much smaller and lighter and has a much more "appealing" sound. I can't speak as to whether or not it's a direct swap for us or not because I have not done it personally, but I have heard rumors of guys doing it.

    Ignition Key

A 96 Mustang is PATS control type A and uses key type 1 or 23 (10 cut). As far as I know you will need to have a Ford tech help you with this because I am pretty sure the Ignition Key Code Program can only be accessed by a Ford scan tool like a WDS or NGS. The tech will be able to pull up a...

ANYONE WITH AN A/F ratio guage come in

Glad you got it figured out, but your question was already answered in the other thread. Making multiple threads to ask one question can get confusing and will usually keep you from getting the help you deserve...that's all.:nice:

    96 GT Starting/Running issues

Yes, the one on the intake manifold is the one the PCM uses. I still think your HO2S is not being properly activated upon key on. Did you reset the PCM when you replaced the MAF sensor?

    Got some goodies today!

Yep, I have owned several shops over the years. South Texas Chassis and KG Motorsports. STC was primarily a shop that I had building 25.xx chassis/cages for fox bodies and a few f-bodies. KG Motorsports was more or less started for doing big block blown alcohol motors and a few TF motors for my...

Well well.....Trickflow intake est ship date of 3/7/07

There are hundreds of parts on Jegs and Summit that constantly have their estimated shipping dates bumped, and bumped, and bumped......... Let's hope the TF IM is not one of those statistics.:)

Tubular k-member on a street car

Most of the manufacturers of aftermarket k-members know damn good and well that people will be using them on the street. And this is why most of them are manufactured to be just fine for daily driven use. I had the PA k-member in my 8 second 97 Z28 and drove that car on the street all the time...

    96 GT Starting/Running issues

The post cat O2 sensors are not used in any way to control fuel trim. In other words, the voltages they output is not used for the fuel trim strategy. Only the front two O2 sensors are used to control the fuel trims (closed loop). If you are smelling fuel that obvious at startup, you may want...

    Installing a pi Intake

It won't, just find a competent tuner that has experience with tuning automatics and you will be fine.

    96 GT Starting/Running issues

There was never anything actually wrong with the MAF sensors, Ford just released that TSB to satisfy customers who had never cleaned the MAF. But, if it was really that corroded, then replacing it was probably a smart idea. Which "freebie" application did you use that told you that you had a...

    need new ecu..help!!!!

It doesn't have to be the MPC hardware platform, but it would just make it much easier on you if you could find the same platform. Truly knowledgeable techs are hard to come by nowadays. MP2 is a newer platform that was introduced in the middle of the model year 2004. 3R3A is just the first...

    Got some goodies today!

When I first got serious about drag racing, my first fast car was a big single turbo 1989 Mustang GT. It had a Garrett 88mm turbo and a built 347. We made a custom spray bar and hit it with a 75 N20 jet for about 10 seconds right before turning on the top light. I would see IAT temps about...

It was moved, for whatever reason, to the 4.6 talk section. I don't know why though, because it was clearly a technical thread.

    Installing a pi Intake

There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with firming up the shift duration and line pressure with a tune. I've done it on dozens of cars with a 4R70W/AOD and there has never been any adverse side effects. increasing the line presure and shortening the duration of teh clutch engagement with the...
