    Just wondering what some of the best times and rwhp #'s are for "stock" motored cars with just things like exhuast, maf, tb, rr's, gears, pullies, minor tinkering, etc. And what is a good list of about all these little things that can be done to a 5.0? Of course there's the obvious things...

    Can I identify the factory gear on my 89 GT from the door tag?

    Thanks! For some reason, it doesn't feel as high as my last car with 2.73's....but that has been several years ago, so my mind could be going as I get older :p Surely someone wouldn't put a 3.08 or 3.27 in it. I'll do the DS rotation just to be sure.

    There's one part of the door tag that is labeled "AX". Does that mean axle? Under it is the letter M. Anyone know how to identify the gear or where a good reference place is to get nik nak info like this? Thanks :nice:

    89 GT, temperature guage not working....

    Thanks guys. I'll try the CTS. But if it's not that, is the guage the only other option? And if it's the guage, can that be easily fixed? (I ask because I've heard the stock tach is so much of a pain to fix that it's not worth it so people just get an aftermarket tach)

    So what things should I check? If I understand correctly, there are 2 coolant temperature sending units (cts's) on the car. One at the front of the intake, and another somewhere on a heater hose? I have a mulitmeter if that'll need to be used. Thanks for any help :nice:
