    it sorta does LOL - I just wanna know what I have to do. If I have to replace transmission, so be it, I was thinking it was more the transmission... I just need to know if that's definitely the case so I can just buy a new one. and get the project under way. :)

    it doesn't really whine in neutral, just makes some interesting noise.... cant even really describe it, but when I push in the clutch, it stops completely. and when driving, it whines really loud through acceleration in each gear, but stops immediately if I push in the clutch.

    as far as I know everything is completely stock. I tried taking a video of the sound, but the microphone didn't really pick up the higher frequency of the whine... it's pretty loud. - loud enough that people in a parking lot turn to look. it makes some strange type noise with the clutch NOT...

    nothing that's super difficult to get to on these cars or anything huh? when I push the clutch in, the noise goes completely away.

    also, might be worth noting that it does not make the whine noise in reverse, only 1, 2, 3 (goes quieter as get into higher gears) - most noticable in 1, 2, 3

    hmmm ok, that could make that kinda whine? so pulling the transmission, is it just a complete nightmare on these cars, or not horrible? - I'm used to a Corvette I had where everything was a nightmare.

    Thanks so much, I ended up pulling the plugs and replacing all of them, they looked awful, wet, and the coils were nasty and even rusty looking and very wet.... I bought a new set of Accel coils and replaced the plugs, car runs perfect now. Old plugs looked bad: new coil packs look cool :)

    Thanks for the reply, I was at Summit (I am fortunate to live within 20 minutes) and I ended up getting the Dorman one, as the other was a lot more expensive... it's already installed and back together minus the alternator bracket... I would've liked to buy some better intake but, this situation...
