    lug nut questions?

    On your 99 the lugs were hidden right? So you need to get some of the newer style capped ones. You can get them from Ford for like $1.98 each or order them online from somewhere that carries Ford Racing stuff. They come packaged in sets of 5 for alot less than dealership cost.

    Rear Squeek

    Sounds like a brake pad problem. What kind of pads did you use? With Semi Metallic pads sometimes a larger than normal piece of metal will be in the pad. It makes noise but usually quiets down when you apply the brakes. Or one of the rotors could be etched and that is making the noise.

    Gearbox or rear axle whine?? Help!

    Try to figure out if it is a Differential noise or a Transmission noise first. Since it sounds like it changes with throttle you could have a carrier or pinion bearing going bad. They will have more/less loads on them during different throttle positions.

    Look at any 01-02 LS1 Dyno, The cam wasn't put in for Torque it was put in to save money. Just like using only one intake LS1/LS6.

    It only weighs what 1.5lbs less than a aluminum DS? I see it as something to only talk about at car shows, I don't think there is any performance difference between the aluminum and C/F shafts.

    You can put a 1 inch handle on it and it doesn't matter. Of course if you use a shorter shift handle your hand will move a shorter distance, you are moving a lever on a fixed point. The other end of the shifter is still moving just as far as before. Take a stock shifter and a aftermarket...

    Actually 90% of the new 99-04 Mustangs have a little slack in the driveline. The transmission has nothing to do with it I have heard the same " slack " noise in everything from 1999 GT's to 2004 Cobra's.

    Actually the shift handle length has almost nothing to do with a short throw. A complete shifter uses a completly different piviot point to achive a short throw. There is a big difference between a shifter handle and a complete shifter. Using a shorter stick has no effect on the movement...

    If you have to go with Dynomax get some Ultra Flo's. By the way I hope you aren't buying these through Steeda. I think they are much cheaper through Summit. Go to Dynomax's website for part numbers.

    02 SS, Y or X pipe

    01-02 LS1's allready have LS6 intakes. They don't do a whole hell of alot anyway. They were only used on the 01-02 LS1 because they had to make up for the junk Cam.
