    4:10's vs LS1

Well I guess I am so " biased " right? I own a LS1 and a GT like I care. People who run 4.10 gears on a near stock car are wasting there money. I have yet to lose to a near stock geared up car in my GT w/3.27 4.10 really aren't the cure all, not to mention most cars that benifit from...

    The Ultimate Headrest Removal Tool

Take the plastic zip tie and sand it until it is close to 1/4". It also works best if you go under the black slider guide. Just push the top of the seat down and it's alot easier.

    The Ultimate Headrest Removal Tool

Well after reading around everyone says to use a hacksaw blade or to open the seat up. Here is a way to do it in 30 seconds per seat. And There is no way to tear anything at all. Go to Menards/Lowes/Home Depot and buy some extra large zip ties. The nice beefy ones that can double as Hand...

    4:10's vs LS1

To me 4.10's are a waste. Your car doesn't stay in gear long enough to do anything. I have raced several mustangs with 4.10's and all they do is shift. It's close up until I am half way through 2nd then I pull easily. As for racing LS1's (I still have a 00 SS) I can stay even with most Lid...

short throw handle on stock shifter

All I am running is a Tri Ax Shifter handle ($29) I like it. I don't think the stock shifter is sloppy or junk. But then again some people can't shift to save there life so they need all of the help they can get. By the way doesn't the 3650 have internal stops?

    '05 Mustang GT

05 Mustang = To Much Hype Just like when the GTO came out last year. They don't have enough power to pull sub 5 second 0-60 plain and simple.

    Question about Camber

After my suspension swap I checked the alignment and adjusted the toe but I left camber alone. I was at -1.1 degrees on each side is this an OK setting for street use? I know Ford spec is .5 to -.75

took the Bullitt to the track

All I am saying is that if your Cobra runs 14's at 5000 feet then that means LS1's run 14's at 5000 feet also. All things are equal. And what you can't measure gain off those numbers anyway? So basically you make all things 100% then use that number when bench racing? It's just really...

took the Bullitt to the track

No, I was just saying that what your car runs is what it runs. I live in Nebraska if I run a 13.9 then thats how fast my car is. It doesn't matter what it equals in other elevations. Even on a dyno, what are you really correcting? Like conditions will ever be 100% perfect anyway.

took the Bullitt to the track

Correcting times = :notnice: I never said Bullitt's weren't nice cars and when I was speaking performance I meant acceleration. I know that when my car was bone stock I could tell a difference vs a stock Bullitt. But only on the really high end.

took the Bullitt to the track

Well maybe if eveyone wouldn't operate on BS it would help. You can say all you want but seriously they are the same as a GT in the performance department.

took the Bullitt to the track

My 13.81 was the best run I had that night. I ran a 2003 Mach1 and beat him. I somehow managed to get traction which was in short supply in my lane that night. My 60' was 2.03 and my trap speed was 100mph.

took the Bullitt to the track

So whats so different from a roll. My GT with K&N+trimmed snorkel, Borlas and Plenum spacer vs His Bullitt with Densecharger From a 25mph roll was dead even until we shut down at 80mph. So basically what people need to see here is yes a Bullitt has bigger brakes, harder suspension...

took the Bullitt to the track

Power, what part didn't you read. My whole point is that a Bullitt is no faster than a GT. My typical E.T.'s were 13.81 - 14.02 99mph was my lowest trap speed. Plus I had one wacky 14.8 @ 100mph. And by the way I live in Nebraska so I wouldn't really call it street racing. More like...

took the Bullitt to the track

My GT had no problems hitting 99+mph stock in the 1/4. Stock I laid down 231hp with 2600 miles on the clock. A guy in town (Grandpa Bullitt) ran his mouth to me and I raced him 3 times. Never once did he win. This was with only a K&N and the Borlas he had a Densecharger. The only time he...

    Performance Sway Bars??!!

I have $160 invested in my sway bars. Front = 03-04 Cobra 29mm - $65 Rear = 1998 Cobra 27mm - $89 For a while the rear 27mm sway bars were junk and broke easily but it is now a solid bar rater than hollow. Most people think this is overkill but I like the way it eliminates some understeer.

    Upper plenum.....

Wow, Someone else like the OE Pony too. I was wondering the same thing. I ported my upper and am using the Steeda spacer and a FRPP 70mm TB. I really couldn't tell a difference between this combo and the Accufab my friend put on his 99 GT. I bought a C&L but I couldn't make myself replace...

Those of you with the Bullitt Suspension...

The Bullitt and Mach1 springs are the same rates and on a GT lower to baout the same height. I have installed both on 99+ GT's. The valving of the shocks I belive is the only difference between the two kits. They both have different Motorcraft part numbers too. I have driven my share of Bullitts...
