    I love the interior of the Mustang, except for the headlight knob. I hate driving a 2004 car that has a 1980s truck style headlight knob. Are there any kits, or has anyone ever modified it to look more, well, modern? I searched but came up empty handed. It's trivial, I know, but it bugs me. :)

    I did and it does has the MACH system listed up to 2000. I decided to give it a shot, didn't work. So I decided to post that it wasn't correct and then list the correct one for the 03-04 years incase anyone else was looking. I wasn't trying to say that you were wrong.

    The idle is steady unless I have the defrost/ac on, then is surges a bit. Thanks for the TPS tip, I checked and it's good.

    Update. Those are NOT the correct adapters for a 2004 Mach 460 system. I'm having to order the correct adapter. Sucks, I spent all that time wiring up the wrong adapter. :( The correct adapter for a 2004 Mch 460 system is Metra 70-5521. It allows you to keep the factory amp as well.

    I did some searching and I understand that if I'm JUST installing a new head unit I only need to get a new harness, available at Wal-mart and the like. And that I don't have to re-wire anything. Am I correct on this?

    Yea, the only code I have is P0507 which is "Idle RPM higher than expected"

    Yea I had the battery disconnected as I installed everything. I inspected the TPS and it appears to be good. I was quite careful when removing and reinstalling it.
