    TFS Stage 1 cam on 1.7 rr's

thats weird b/c alot of the LT1 guys will run an a set of Impala head gaskets as opposed to the stock fbody gaskets (ie the impala ones are thicker) to drop the compression slightly for a blower, etc. of course a 302 is a different engine, but the same principles apply. and surely if any...

    TFS Stage 1 cam on 1.7 rr's

jose, with those fly-cut pistons tho u should be ok...9 times outa 10 youll be set, but for a lil extra insurance, you could run a lil thicker head gasket. it may drop the compression a slight bit but shurely youll have that clearance. still tho you shouldnt have any problems.

    96GT performance upgrades

whatever you do dont do pullies u will regret it in the end. u will do more harm than good by changing the pullies, especially if you have aftermarket stereo equipment. leave the pullies alone and do more sensable mods like gears, shifter, and clutch, as stated.

    idle issue:98 2v 5spd

ok heres the deal, when the car is just idling it idles fine w/o any problems, but if u give it a rev it seems like it takes forever to idle back down. like if i rev it to 3000+ itll drop down to 1500 quick, but it seems like from 1500 to a dead idle itll take its sweet lil time, and SOMETIMES...

    anyone with PI HEADSWAP

i havent yet did the headswap myself, but i know that you can use the bigger comp cams modular cams (278ah's) which should drastically increase performance. i think the mm&ff got over 400fwhp outa some ported PI heads, these cams, and miscellaneous other things on a stock 98 2v short block. ide...

Anyone gotten magnaflows and wish they'd gotten....

i had the magnaflow catback for about a year, and it was loud (deep) but had no throatyness ( if thats even a word) to it. people could hear me coming, but the car didnt have that true "mustang" sound that we all love. eventually i got rid of the tails in favor of some 2.5'' dumps that only made...

you guys are a waste of my time...where the hell did all these other people come from co-signin to what wasnt even said to them. yall seem more focused on getting your point across to me that 5.0s are the best thing to grace the earth since sliced bread, rather than helping this kid out as the...

1998 Mustang GT Problem Can Anyone Help

not quite, theres 4 convertors and two resonators. although the resonators arent as restrictive as the thick honeycomb designed catalytic convertors, they too hamper the exhaust note but dont get clogged like cats do so they dont pose a problem. as stated before an offroad x or h midpipe will...

1998 Mustang GT Problem Can Anyone Help

a catalytic convertor usually will not go bad on its own tho. they fail b/c of some other problem with the car. so replacing the cat/h-pipe with an aftermarket unit will not completely solve the problem, it could be anything from a fuel filter like the guy before me said, to oil fouled plugs...

    very high miles...5.0 vs 4.6

all you guys keep saying that 5.0s last forever and there the greatest thing to grace a mustang, but every high mileage 5.0 ive seen needs an oil pump becasue its ***** the bed, or the motor has been rebuilt for other reasons! i have never seen a 100K+ mileage 5.0 with stock internals that runs...
