    Fuel Pump problem!

Sorry about not getting back sooner on this thread. It looks like the fuel issue is resolved. I happened to of picked up an CCRM back in 2000, for some dumb reason and it sat around. So I swapped the CCRM, changed the fuel filter and oil (just in case some fuel was in it). Turned the...

    Fuel Pump problem!

Here is the 411. When I turn on the key, the fuel pump starts up, but after about 5 secs, without me starting the car, instead of turning off, it keeps pumping fuel, obviously flooding the engine. Any idea where to start diagnosing the problem? Jim

    Restoration project Begun!

Well, I have done some more research, chatted with some local stang club members, it seems the most sensible method is the pigtail replacement method. As I identify the damaged connectors, I should do a splice, solder, shrink tube and wrap method. It should be the best solution for the buck...

    Restoration project Begun!

What about the connectors? Some of them have broken and exposed the electrical connections.

    Restoration project Begun!

Hey folks, Finally got started on restoring my 1994 GT convertible and need to help tracking down some parts sources. First I will be refinishing the interior, and at the same time, I need to replace some of the engine compartment harnesses that have become brittle and damaged. I would...

What are you paying for a new GT500?

I will truly be surprised, if any one gets a GT-500 at MSRP... And if you do, please post the dealer's signed sales contract... I have talked with several Central Florida Ford GM's and all of them are going at least 10K over, no questions asked. In fact some of these GM's have been calling...

    Smog Pump Dead

Not driving the car is what I think led to the smog pump problem.. My stang is a weekend driver (occasionally), and soon will be my project car, now that I have some spare cash flow to bury in this car. Jim

    Smog Pump Dead

Yes, I live in the great Smog State of Florida... Central Florida actually. Your responses does raise another question. 1. Are there aftermarket cats that do not require the additional air flow from the smog pump for our 94 -95 stangs? Depending upon your answers, I will either go with...

    Smog Pump Dead

Just a few questions. Am I better off just getting a smog pump delete kit rather than replacing the smog pump, and do I have to get the cats remove also? If I do just get the delete kit, should I also pull all of the pollution control stuff from my '94 GT? Finally, does any know of a...

Shelby GT500 order now in Ford's system!

01GT/03ZX9, I am just around the corner.. When you get yours in, let me know, I would love to stop by and take a look. By the way which dealer did you order from (Greenway, Reid or some other)? Jim

    Shelby $15,000 over MSRP

Although Ford has indicated that it is willing to produce up to 15K of the GT-500, I highly suspect that Ford can, unless it has stocked pile a bunch of the main components. More likely, Ford will shoot for 7,500 cars, and then ramp up to 15K for the '08. This means around 22.5K units of the...

    Headlamp adjustment nuts

Unfortunately the old nuts were pretty badly torn up...so I am off to the junkyard, unless someone else has any ideas on where to look. Jim :nonono:

    Headlamp adjustment nuts

Here's my sob story... purchased new headlamp assemblies and they came with the headlamp adjustment nuts, but the moron who installed the new assemblies did not preadjust them, so when he pushed them in, they pushed all the ways thru, and the nuts are pretty busted up... Anybody know where I can...

    Window lift gear kit ?

I seem to remember that the regulator repair kit (bushings) for the Mark VII, TBird and Cougar were all the same part number... Have the part store check for those models. Jim

    MY RAG TOP NEEDS REPLACING

It is the same procedure as replacing a convertible top on a GT/V6. Some of the guys here have done it, but I had it done by a pro. If you do it yourself, you might also consider replacing the rubber trim pieces if they are torn. I have never seen the steps listed here, but I will see if I...

    Window lift gear kit ?

check with a NAPA store... They generally carry the part. You will need three of them. Jim

Proper way to Flush and Bleed Brakes

Okay. Getting ready to replace the brake lines with braid steel ones, I think this is an ideal time to flush the brake system, swap the brake lines and bleed them. What should I be using to flush the brake system? What would you recommend I use for brake fluid.. This is a street stang, not...

    I think i have a fan problem

From what I have read here on stangnet and in some other mustang forums, the stock shroud and fan are just as efficient ( and in some cases better) than most aftermarket fan/shrouds kits. Unless you really want to play around with your cooling system, I would just swap out the fan motor and be...

    I think i have a fan problem

You are probably better off getting a new fan from your local parts place, it will run around $80.00. Pull the shroud with the old fan Remove the retainer clip from the fan blade side. Flip the shroud over and unbolt the old fan motor. Reverse the process and plug it back in. IF...
