    87/89/93 Octane

I heard the 05's are actually tuned for 93 stock but rely on knock sensors to allow it to run on 87 as indicated in the manual.

    Stock rear gear?

1 step 2 step...what the heck. You're guaging it based on how it feels???? :rlaugh: How do you know for sure 3.31's came out? Did you count the teeth on the ring gear & the teeth on the pinion? If so, post the number of teeth on both gears and your formula. Mabe you should second...

    '05 Transmission problems

My '05 built in October '04 makes a lot of noise in 2nd and 3rd. Too much noise for me. I'm thinking about taking it in but I don't want to deal with a rebuild. I'd prefer it just get replaced. Anything I can say or provide (documentation) ahead of time that will get me a swap? I hate dealing...

    91 octane?

Actually you're mistaken. The '05's are tuned for premium fuel from the factory and use a series of knock sensor to pull timing for 87 fuel. So if you run super it'll like it just fine.

    Poll: Magnaflow Vs. Flowmaster

I doubt it since there's still only 1 exhaust valve. The difference you're hearing on the 05's is because of the placement of the muffler compared to previous years. BTW I have 40 series welded in and they sound very good. However they do drone arund 1800 RPM's. I can live with it for now.

    CAI's in the rain

Normally I might agree with this statement. However, with the '05 Mustang GT there is a lot of power to be had in freeing up the intake track. The stock air box, filter, MAF hausing, vapor trap is pretty restrictive on the '05's. I have a Steeda setup and LOVE IT.

Anyone have any issues with warped rotors?

Mine are starting to feel a bit warped. Any chance of me getting them replaced under warranty? Even if the car's under 12 months/12K miles? EDIT: The car's not abused either seems unusual so soon.

    Intake Obstruction Remove

The trap is after the MAF and it's a vapor trap not a air straightener.

New Grill For The 06 GT? Pic Inside.

No pics but I'm guessing you're looking at the v6 grill with upgraded pony package. The GT grill will remain unchanged.

    Steeda CAI Questions

You live in NC and there isn't 93 at all the stations? 91 Octane is in California they're not able to get 93. Most other states carry 87, 89, 93 or in Cali you get 91. Why don't you download the Steeda tune right from Diablo's webpage and load that?

    what a piece of junk

Just remember when you get your SS 1. Clutches are known to blow on them, due to the weak hydrolics they can't handle the LS1 power because GM still uses the same old unit from the IROC Z days. 2. The rears can't handle the power of the LS1 either. Same story there too, rear design is...
