    well i've had the motor out since last friday... go the heads on today and the cams dropped in.. waiting for the spacers for behind the cam sprockets to come in tomorrow so i can time the motor and degree the cams in...hopefully have it running by this weekend....

    why don't u try the NGK Iridium plugs... much better plug imo. and they do make colder versions if thats what ur interested in...

    just look at what you have already..i see you have a comp cam 274 set of cams in there now with a .500 lift.... Since that is a PI motor you do know that the factory lift on these is .550 and maybe think about switch to a .550 lift cam like the 278AH or the 270AH...

    all depends on how u drive... i have seen cars with 30K and clucthes are shot and i have seen 180K... so its all in how u are with it... but yeah while ur in there i would recommend changing it and getting the flywheel resurfaced....

    the static pressure on the low side needs to be atleast 60 or so for it to even kick on...and with the vehicle off that low side should go to atleast 80-90 or so....

    i would start by cleaning your IAC(idle air control) see if the conditions improve.

    Which ex. gaskets?

    my personal preference is the Percy's Dead-Soft manifold gaskets.. they are 4 layers of aluminum... work great... and fairly inexpensive... you can pick them up at summitracing.com or the factory tri-metal layed ones...

    the stock racks are ok to replace it with.... if you wanted to switch to a manual rack from flaming river that is a possiblity. your would love the weight of the power assisted rack, power steering pump and lines. but steering will be more difficult.

    was the motor cold or warm when u experienced these misses? does it go away when it warms up? have you checked for vacuum leaks?

    the leak your pointing out in the outter seal on that side... normally when that happens the only solution is to replace the rack itself...

    if your car has some miles on the clock I would recommend replacing the clutch at the same time... The ford TOB tend to not squeal as much so i would recommend not using the TOB and purchasing a ford one with the clutch install...
