Hey I would have bought them for $50 in a heartbeat. They're in better shape than my current tires.

That modified Caterham must have been tearing that place up. Everyone must have been in that guys way

    Gonna blow up StangNet

You're right, I shouldn't have used slavery. I should have used 'drug', as it's more applicable. Nonetheless, there are no arguments from me, only opinions. I like things simple and it usually entails actively rejecting social pressures. Now days, the big one is that it's becoming OK to give...

    Gonna blow up StangNet

I see everyone with smart phones and they are slaves to their phones. They ALWAYS defend it and never admit it to themselves. These phones require more of your attention than your own children and your surroundings. They're constantly buzzing with texts/alerts/ads or whatever, disruptive to...

I had a bad feeling something like this would come up. Your best bet is MPS Auto Salvage in Georgia for the EEC and harness. You have to call them to check stock. They are good about not gouging for those kinds of parts. Just ordered a fuel level sender from them, literally 90% cheaper than...

It looks like the ECT is there, it's just mounted where the temp sender goes. The ECT plug is hanging there too, but the wiring there doesn't look factory (it's much longer), so it must have been modified or it's the wrong harness ( I hope it's the right harness).

    Lost my job today...

What about joining Coast Gaurd or Firfighting or something like that? Out west, there tend to be a lot of jobs in the wildland firefighting (i.e. hotshots). I think they pay around $20-30k/yr which will keep you from having to live off Ramen at least.

    Head Unit wire harness madness

You're brave. I ditched the entire stereo harness and amps and rewired the entire thing. So much easier than trying to figure out the factory mess.

The plug for the gauge sensor is small, just like the one that plugs into the oil pressure sender behind the water pump. It's not critical to getting the motor started, but you will need it nonetheless. If you don't see a plug floating around in there, I have to wonder what harness you're using?

You can probably just keep it where it's at and bend that bracket down away from the plenum or mod it to mount to the shock tower or something. You'll need to modify the driver side branch of the engine wiring harness in order to route the coil power/signal plug to the new location. Also, I...

Looks like you're making great progress thus far. Don't get too excited though, as the details you have left will prove to be 90% of the entire project. All the small things like vacuum lines, power steering, A/C, fuel system, ignition coil, the massive amount of wiring etc. will bog it down...

Car is finally DONE, but there's no spark!!

It's ALIVE!! I threw in a new distributor and it started. I adjusted the timing and it runs just fine :D I didn't expect that after 5 years of no motor, so I'm very happy. I may need a new TPS or IAC becuase it doesn't have a strong idle without gassing it and turning the steering wheel...

Car is finally DONE, but there's no spark!!

I do have a gauge. Actually, I got sprayed why putting the thread adapter on there. The pump is brand new, so the pressure is spot on and has good hold pressure. I will look into this test light you mention if a new distributor doesn't do the trick.

Car is finally DONE, but there's no spark!!

The ground for the coil? You mean at the plug that plugs into the coil, or the grounding of the coil bracket? They both seemed good when I checked. The voltage I read came from the harness wires. Both engine grounding straps are good too. I made sure of it by sanding to bear metal and...

Car is finally DONE, but there's no spark!!

I finally got around to finishing the junkyard engine I dropped in the Stang since it hasn't run since 2005. After the long haul, a whole bunch of Benjamins and many new parts, I primed the pump a few times and turned the key. Nothing. I screwed with the stupid Silencer alarm for a bit...

What are the signs of a bad power steering pump???

With my Bronco, I typically gauge it by how many people point and laugh when I turn corners. If it's more than 3 people, it's time to top off the power steering fluid.

I like the king cobra too. Nice and heavy feel. Don't forget to re-surface the flywheel!

Haynes and Chiltons are pretty equivalent. The internet is the place to go for more advanced stuff. There's a ton of info online for our pushrod motors.

    Fuel Pump problem!

Well even if the injectors are leaking, the fuel pump should only prime for a couple of seconds. There's no pressure-feedback to the pump that tells it to turn off, only a preset time. But if the engine is flooding, there still may be a leak which would be a second, unrelated problem unless it...
